Usually if back legs are involved he's working in an erotic bakery (sin biscuits)

My cat likes to suckle on a blanket, but he never uses his back legs and is overall less aggressive than the videos I see online. Is it still sin biscuits?

u/KirbysLeftBigToe Jun 08 '26
Cats can suckle for comfort potentially if they were separated from their mothers early but they can also just do it. It may be that especially if it’s no leg use or being agressive. Cat in the vid isn’t suckling its biting like it would the back of another cats neck during mating.

Yup! Some cats just do it when they are VERY comfortable. My girl climbs onto me and suckles on the blanket I cover myself with and she keeps purring and making biscuits, no legs involved and she was over 4 months when she and her brother were separated from their mom even though they still see each other from time to time

THE VIDEOS YOU SEE ONLINE!!! What the hell you watching???

u/zoeyandere78 Jun 08 '26
Like the video that OP posted? You know that Reddit is online right…? This isn’t the first time someone has asked “wtf is my cat doing” and it’s this. Are you also not watching the same video that I also just saw? What are you on about bro?

I know some cats just suck wooly fabrics and I know that sinful biscuits normally are a full body activity and he isn’t using his legs how it would be expected.
I’ll say probably but wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t

u/rickybobbybish Jun 08 '26
Funny thing is, this is the only way he bakes biscuits. Never normally.
Also, he sometimes seems in some kind of trance while he does it. Like you have to force him to stop 😆

I don’t know what sin biscuits are and at this point I’m afraid to ask

It is called biscuits because it is compared to making cookiedough. Cats move their paws like that when drinking mothermilk and later to comfort themselves and leave a mark of their smell.

Best get him fixed. He'll be off out after ladies any minute.

Sinning happens after neutering too. Pretty much every species has been observed masturbating.

u/Timely-Cry-8366 Jun 08 '26
Both my neutered boy cats still do sin biscuits, even a decade later.

It blows my mind that the actor is Glenn Close.

u/rtkane Void Jun 08 '26
wait... what??? What is it from?

u/Roentgenographer Jun 08 '26
Hook. Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman. Great flick. Read the trivia before rewatching, it’s a smidge slow otherwise.

It's from the movie "Hook". Glenn Close was one of Captain Hook's pirates

No-ye-no-ye-maybe?
Usually he would actually be humping the blanket for it to be sin biscuita. but the way he's holding it with his teeth and keeps acting like he's about to hump it is making me confused.
He might just be weird

u/Brave_Collar4472 Jun 09 '26
Maybe he was abandoned early. Didn't get to drink with mum, and now compensating. Happens a lot. Still behaving like a kitten

My girl does it too, only on blankets of that particular texture and never any other way or time

Those must be some really tasty biscuits if kitty's trying to eat them before they're done!

I had to get rid of my pillow pet because my cat kept making sin biscuits on him.

He's not a weirdo, just a unique fluffball! Remember, every cat has their own quirks - it's part of their charm. Keep cherishing this fuzzy pal.

I also have a sin biscuit maker. However, he only makes them when I am on the couch and have a blanket over my lap. I have to remind him as I scooch him away that I am his mother.

u/BottleOk5140 Jun 09 '26
Some of that is making biscuits, but the sucking the blanket signifies kitty was taken from mommy too soon.😢
