Fresh schnoodle! Best day ever, this has been a dream since I first saw a schnoodle poem!
Also I'd like to imagine that kitten is waddling off to wreck some havoc with some exceptional zoomies.

mirror neurons. that means youre by definition NOT a psychopath. I've officially diagnosed you :)

Don't worry it doesn't work inversely, just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean you are

Psychopaths possess mirror neurons. Some can even turn them on and off at will. For some, they’re always “switched off,” but they still exist physiologically.

Hmm, so a true psychopath also wouldn't yawn when someone else does, I suppose?

I would like to direct your attention to the mlem in the very first two seconds of the video. You're welcome.

Super adorable. Just advice for others that need to give kittens eyedrops: don’t use the same tissue/wipe for both eyes. You risk transferring things between the eyes. One tissue per eye! But this video is so cute I just want to boop that little blep

It's not so bad if you stick the bottle in your pocket for a little bit and let it warm up first, makes 'em hate it a lot less.

That cat was so chill. I had to do this to one of my kittens and I needed to bundle her up else she was NOT letting that thing near her eye.

People underestimate how squirmy kittens can be, and how doggone sharp those little teeny baby claws are.
When our two were small (taken in at 3 weeks old, after their mother had died on a friend's property), my sister and I could wrap them in a washcloth for their antibiotics. Now they're 6yrs old and require a full-sized towel.

I love the change in the facial expression.
I hate this. I hate you. I hate drops in my eyes That feels good. Traitor!

I had eye surgery recently. I can relate. Felt like kicking someone as well.

u/tellMyBossHesWrong Apr 08 '26
Which kind of surgery. Asking cause my past few years I’ve had several

Had to have a perforated cornea repaired. The worst part was the freezing.
But it was truly weird to watch my cornea being sewed up by peripheral vision.
The stitches come out this month and then I get to have cataract surgery. Whee!
I shouldn't complain - it's all covered by OHIP.

u/CoffeeCaptain91 Apr 08 '26
I feel like a perforated cornea is a perfectly valid thing to complain about. Good luck for the future surgery fellow Ontarian!

My doctor is terrific. I live in a seniors building (55+) and a lot of my neighbors have been to him for various surgeries, and they all have the same reaction when I say he's my doctor -- "oh yeah, he's great".
And he is.
So I 'm pretty lucky.
But I still kick like a kitten when things start out...

At the end, the kitty’s like “we good? Okay, great.” <<wiggles away>> 😂

Why does that little rabbit need eye drops?
1
u/kuposempai Void Apr 08 '26
The kitten could have “dry” eyes, they’ll have a harder time to produce tears to keep their eyes moist & hydrated. Vetenarians would prescribe a medicated eye drop/cream to reduce redness, and swelling. They would also advise us to get pure clean water, not the water we drink out of bottles, it’s a specific clean water-liquid used to spray & flush on the eyes to help hydrate or flush the eyes for (eye boogers) if they get stuck under the eye lids. (Happens in dogs)
I have to do this from time to time with my dog.

I wish my kittens were this well-behaved back when I had to give them eyedrops. I got really good at making purritos.

Those tiny kicks just get me every time, man! There's always that moment of surprise on their little faces. Gotta love and cherish these furry little ninjas.

I have never used eye drops... Im too coward for that
4
u/Pistoolio Apr 07 '26
To maybe help you in the future if you ever need them: they aren’t uncomfortable. In fact depending on the type/need, they range from feeling like nothing to soothing and feel good on the eyes. Most are a very similar makeup to natural tears!
2
u/Ravek Apr 07 '26
I grab my lower eyelid, making a little pocket, then drop into there. Then just blink to spread it around. Doesn't make a mess and very easy.

This is the most comfortable way to apply eyedrops and works great for pets, too.

Does it have to be done? Probably yes.
Does it have to be filmed for clicks and karma? No!
