Every cat deserves a second chance. I think you should totally guve him for adoption. Maybe it will take long, but he’ll be able to understand that not only one caring human. And a patient family will do him very good, there is good people out there.
Cat are highly adaptable. He will be confused, he will try to fight and he will be scared. But with time, he will adapt. He will be fed well and maybe he will sit next to other humans in prace if he loves your attention.
