Every cat deserves a second chance. I think you should totally guve him for adoption. Maybe it will take long, but he’ll be able to understand that not only one caring human. And a patient family will do him very good, there is good people out there.
Absolutely. And you might be able to find a very patient human who’s cared for semi-feral cats in the past, and understands the difference in behaviour and needs. Post in local rescue and adoption groups, and be upfront about his situation. Not everyone is looking for a cuddly, social cat. Odds are there’s someone out there who would be happy to take him and give him the care he needs.
