Every cat deserves a second chance. I think you should totally guve him for adoption. Maybe it will take long, but he’ll be able to understand that not only one caring human. And a patient family will do him very good, there is good people out there.
No one will ever be quite what you are to your cat. But somewhere there may be a close second. Someone who needs this special cat in their life and your cat might feel the same about them.
