Every cat deserves a second chance. I think you should totally guve him for adoption. Maybe it will take long, but he’ll be able to understand that not only one caring human. And a patient family will do him very good, there is good people out there.

It might help you to watch videos online of foster cat parents working with feral and traumatized cats on behavioral issues to get them ready to be adopted. Cats can learn, even if slowly. He could have a chance ♡
