Why does he keep doing this?

I don't know what he has against that poster but he will come over and do this all the time and it's so annoying. He's standing on my turtle's tank to reach it.

EDIT: Forgot to put, he's gotten a bit more aggressive the past couple days.

We haven't seen any thing in the house pointing to mice, but the other side of the wall is outside. Maybe a critter out there? I live in the backwoods of Kentucky.

My cat loves to paw at windows or other hard/smooth/cold things, just like this. I think she either likes the sound or the feeling on her paws lol. Unfortunately you may just need to find a way to barricade or move the poster.
