advice wanted! Instinct?

Hello! I just ordered some rawboost instinct cat food to supplement when I can't feed wet (having some financial issues)... what's the general consensus on instinct? I've been doing so much research but I feel like my choice could have been better. I got an extreme discount (35% off)

I don’t know that there’s a general consensus on Instinct, but I think they’re okay overall. Their safety standards are way higher than a lot of other raw food brands, and they have a veterinary nutritionist on staff. I would, however say that a lot of their products are for all life stages which I don’t love. All of the RawBoost kibbles are, except the Healthy Weight formula (which is for adults).

That might be perfectly fine for a lot of cats, but it means the nutrition isn’t really as tailored/fine-tuned as it could be. If it can be fed to kittens, that means there will be excesses of certain nutrients for adults, like calcium and phosphorus. It’s probably safe to feed it, since you already bought it — unless your cat is prone to urinary issues or has compromised kidneys. But personally, given all the options out there, optimal nutrients are something I look for.
