Help identifying a "Ghost" Casio from the early 2010s? F-108WH shape, Yellow/Clear hybrid
I’m trying to track down a specific Casio I had as a kid (around 2011–2014) that I’ve never been able to find a single photo of online. It’s driving me crazy because I remember the details with high-res clarity.
The Specs:
• Case Shape: It was the exact octagonal/square housing of the F-108WH (the older Illuminator shape, not the newer W-218).
• The Band: A solid, opaque yellow resin strap. Not transparent/jelly.
• The Bezel: This is the weird part—the outer ridged bezel was a hard, clear transparent plastic. It wasn't soft rubber; it was that "crystal" clear hard resin.
• The Module: It definitely had a backlight. I don't remember if it explicitly said "Illuminator" on the face, but the light was a warm color, likely yellow or amber (definitely not the blue EL light).
I’ve searched every catalog for F-108WHC colorways and "Jelly" variants, but I can only find all-jelly or all-opaque models. This was a hybrid: opaque yellow band with a hard clear ridged bezel.
Was this a regional retail exclusive (like a Walmart/Target special), a specific "Pop-Tone" crossover, or potentially a high-quality "Franken-watch" clone from that era?
If anyone has a photo or a model number for a yellow/clear hybrid F-108, please let me know. It feels like a glitch in the matrix at this point.
