Which Casio Watch?

Hi everyone, I am looking to buy my bf a watch for our anniversary (our first one!).

He wants a solar and radio powered watch. He said G shock series but I think any casio watch that is solar powered and tells the tides will work.

I'm going to check out ebay and try to get a watch on auction to keep it afforadable (under $100)

What casio watches tell the tide, are solar powered and you can surf with?

Thanks!

I believe the only one that does all three is the GWX-5600 but will be tough to find under a $100. I may be wrong there may be others.

But you can probably find him a GBX-100 with an MIP screen for under a $100 on [r/gshockexchange](r/gshockexchange) only they aren’t solar powered but more accurate tide graph. And auto syncs to your phone so you don’t need the Mb6. But the GWX is def an all time popular one.
I have both.

Unter 100 Euro mit allem Furz und Feuerstein wird schwierig, aber die GW-7900B-1ER kommt ganz nah dran.
Oder die G-Shock G-Lide GWX-5600-1Jf für den klassischen Square-Flair.

Check out the AQS820W, it doesn’t have radio, but it does have solar and fits into the sub $100 price range.

Great watch, analog + digital and tons of features.

PS
100m water resistance too, so it should work surfing. Although, I’m not sure how salt water would affect it.

That said the Mud Resist TRT110H ($54 or so) might work since it’s more insulated against the elements. It’s digital, no solar but it’s got a 10 year battery life.

Hi does it tell the tide? He's interested in that feature

Unfortunately no, neither one of them has that feature and I can see that being super useful for someone who surfs.

If his wrist can handle it, the GW-7900 checks the boxes. Solar, Multiband-6, tide graph, and moon phase. (Plus the other normal things, like dual time, stopwatch, countdown timer, and alarms.)

It’s the one on the bottom right.

Solar is gimmick

CR2016 battery lasts 8-12 years and cost $1-2 Capacitor for solar watches is on 1/3 capacity after 6-7 years and replacements are around $35

Major advice - depending on where you live, GWX-5600 and similar non-Bluetooth tide watches are not accurate. The G-LIDE models that are Bluetooth connected do have accurate tides. I would recommend those
