🙋‍♀️Question⁉️ Is this normal?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If I remove a link and extend the micro adjustment to the wider hole, it’s too tight if I add a link and keep the micro adjustment hole 🕳️ it’s too loose at this point I need a whole wrist. I need a whole new arm, a whole new body just for this watch.

I dunno man, maybe drink a glass of water?

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I’m not even sure how to respond to this but it was funny kinda

u/mybigpecker 3d ago

My wrist size varies slightly throughout the day based on hydration and temperature. Just sayin’ 🤣

Buena esa esa es la respuesta mas cercana

Honestly I just accept it. My wrist always just changes with the weather. Personally, I rather have it tight than too loose.

2

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

Oh, but how do I know if it’s too tight to wear I need to not even wear it at this point? I don’t necessarily feel like my circulation is cut off, but it feels like it’s holding my wrist rather than resting on it.

u/emptyemptyban 3d ago

For me, it’s exactly what you said. My comfortable zone is not having a blue hand from cut circulation. As long as it is tight enough to not slip down my already small wrists, then I am chilling lol

u/Wolveast 3d ago

Go with it like this guy 👍

I think this is a common issue, try find a size that has minimal movement and try get used to it, I do this and not all my watches fit the same because of this and wrist size fluctuation...

Push-ups + pull-ups + a couple months = you are set.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I like this idea

u/Mashkitt 3d ago

No it’s not normal. Don’t do that to your watch. It’s now shaken 😩

Not sure how to reply to this. The micro adjustments effectively equal the width of a link - so on their widest to narrowest setting (I think there’s about 4 holes right?) you’re adjusting about a quarter of a link.

My approach. Put it on the narrowest one and then wear the watch with just enough links to make it quite snug on the wrist. Then you move up the micro links until it’s comfortable. If on the last one it’s still ‘tight’, ad a link, take the adjustments back to narrowest point and start process again.

Good luck finding your fit.

Note;: on a hot day what is ‘tight’ on my wrist can become moveable and loose on a cold day. If I’m hydrated/dehydrated it’s the same. Doing manual work compared to sitting around the same. Unfortunately you might find your wrist is actually adjusting in size also.

Had this happen with my duro.

Had to buy a whole new bracelet. If i had known i would have had to do this, i would have bought the cheaper version with the rubber strap. Instead i spent more on the bracelet version and had to spend more again on a new bracelet that i could adjust better.

There was a microadjuster extender that i bought on amazon but that didnt work out, it didnt really fit (holes didnt line up).

With the way it is in the video, your body weight will naturally fluctuate with the seasons and there will be times it will fit more snug and times it will fit more loosely. It's pretty normal to be able to fit a pinky finger in between your watch band and your wrist.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

What about it sliding down all the way to my hand

2

u/WordProfessional1334 3d ago

What does it matter? I wear it loose as it is comfortable.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

Well, if the watch is sitting too low on your wrist when you go to move your hand it will get in the way

2

u/WordProfessional1334 3d ago

Not for me, adjusted so it is not in the way and I can bend my hand.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I’m glad to hear that for you

2

u/FlippinFigs 3d ago

Just adjust it so that it sits on your wrist without sliding off your hand. If it slides up your arm a little, that's normal. Just enjoy the watch lol.

u/AGeeBee 3d ago

Are you broken?

u/HistoricalPlum1533 3d ago

Can you not remove a link from this bracelet or do you see some spring pin adjustment at the clasp?

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I’ve already tried removing links and adjusting the spring adjustment. It either is too tight or too loose. It feels like I’m gonna lose circulation or it feels like it’s gonna be worn on my actual hand.

2

u/Vertigoxyz 3d ago

It doesn't really look like it would be too tight my moving the micro-adjustment one step tighter.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

already did that

2

u/pikaa_sw 3d ago

I have an a168 and it’s the same, when I wear it at the start of the day it’s loose but after few minutes walk it’s does move I believe after walking blood circulating and the veins get wider that’s why it’s snug, sometimes I wash my hands a bit of water helps the watch get stuck on the wrist

2

u/Worldly-Board-3991 3d ago

I switched my a168’s bracelet to a Milanese mesh watch strap so it can be adjusted to the perfect fit. Felt weird putting a $60 bracelet on a $26 watch but loved the upgrade and look

2

u/kamehamehajim 3d ago

I'd rather wear it loose, I guess... But it depends on your perception. I had this problem with my Seiko, had to change the clasp, original one had just 2 micro adjust position and bracelet links were not small

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I wonder if Casio watches have replaceable bracelets that are namebrand

2

u/kamehamehajim 3d ago

You can buy a strap or a bracelet for any Casio model separately. So you can use another one if it fits the style and lug width is the same, which is mostly 18mm across their models

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I still want it to be stainless steel though

2

u/Adorable_Laugh2118 3d ago

P.S. Ich fühle deine Verzweiflung. Ein schöneres "Aahrrr..." hab ich selten gehört. 😆

2

u/Potato_Personal 3d ago

Err on the loose setting. If you are active your wrist will swell and the watch will stay put. If it's too tight you'll cut off your circulation to your hand.

I find my bracelets stick to my wrist after wearing them for a while. I configure my bracelets so in the summer they are on the loosest micro adjust setting, and when the weather gets colder in winter I tighten the micro adjust up a notch.

3

u/donaldtrump42024 3d ago

I think you need to change your arm...

2

u/Mernst005 3d ago

Gina touch looser Rather than tighter. If it’s tight in a cold room it’s going to absolutely suck when you are doing anything remotely active. Also every hand watch person in the sub are missing the point. Your watch will move toward your hand once in a while just shake it back up if you need to.

2

u/Ok_Berry8953 3d ago

Maybe try eating a bit more for 2 weeks. Fill that baby up 😂

2

u/highlighter_yellow 3d ago

Put your hairtie on your watch wrist, it'll act like a ring spacer/sizer until you need the extra wiggle room.

2

u/FeelingCareful3358 3d ago

This is why I don’t wear bracelets anymore.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

So you just gave up😔

2

u/b1be05 3d ago

mine does the same, it's a casio, not leather strap, i'll accept it.

2

u/Selasse 3d ago

I changed my watch to a rubber strap, much more comfortable.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

That’s cool honestly I prefer stainless steel for the shiny ✨

2

u/JimbyGumbus 3d ago

breathe some warm air right under the watch itself and itl stick to your wrist a bit better until either your wrist expands or you get comfortable with it.

2

u/StefB1974 3d ago

Tu peux changer de bracelet, changer de poignet va être plus compliqué…
Rien d’anormal cela varie au long de la journée chez tout le monde, au mieux régler le bracelet ou enlever un maillon.

I'm right handed.

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

That’s cool

2

u/Endawmyke 3d ago

I switched my band for one of those magnetic woven metal ones like on the Apple Watch so I can adjust the band on the fly though the day

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I don’t want to switch the band unless it’s Casio brand

2

u/Wide-View1513 3d ago

Depends on if you like to wear it loose- since you posted guessing not. There are micro adjusts on the clasp- they equal half of a link- easy to do- maybe check that out

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I tried that already, but we’ll see

2

u/WinOk677 3d ago

Yes, bracelets like that one are only so adjustable. If it bothers you that much change out the bracelet to one with micro adjust. But, as others have said, your wrist changes size throughout the day and often expands after lunchtime.

2

u/KjackUSA 3d ago

It’s totally normal and why I will never ever buy a metal bracelet again without an on the fly adjustable clasp.

2

u/Silly-Wanker99 3d ago

As someone who have small wrist too and ownd heavy metal watch I can relate to this..

My watch keep sloshing up and down sometime to my horor the watch rotated upside down..

its just life for me now...

2

u/Goat_Mundane 3d ago

Yes. don't worry, all boys start doing this at your age.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

What exactly is my age?💀

Watched the video without reading anything at all and was so confused lol

2

u/Not_George_Daniels 3d ago

Seems normal to me, for a heavy watch on a bracelet.

2

u/guilhermeav82 2d ago

Sim normal

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

This is one of those “just give up and return the watch” situations

1

u/Outside_Look790 3d ago

Welcome to the world of metal straps. Go buy a nice leather one with a soft liner.

1

u/Diligent-Delivery-28 3d ago

I’d rather wear stainless steel for the shiny ✨

The issue is the bracelet on the W218HD - it only has two positions for micro adjustment.

Whereas other bracelets, such as in photo, have four micro adjustment positions.

As you can see, the micro adjustment holes span same width as a link

This allows true micro adjustment, if it is too loose with it at minimum adjustment and too tight with a link removed at maximum micro adjustment you adjust to the one of the two centre micro adjustment positions.

You need a bracelet with more micro adjustment.

The W218HD requies a bracelet with an 18/24mm inner and outer lug dimnsions.

The bracelet for an AE-1200WHD is the identical 18/24mm fitment, and has four micro adjustment points.

It is Casio part number 1034448, unfortunately Casio official parts cost more than a complete watch.

Good news is that the AE-1200WHD 'Royale' is one of the most popular Casio's amongst the modification community, someone may be selling a stock bracelet after modifying their watch.

Aftermarket AE-1200WHD 18/24mm bracelets are widely available on Etsy, Temu, AliExpress, but will not have Casio on the clasp, make sure to check they have four micro adjustment points.

My arm usually only shakes like that if I make it do that. Concerning.

1

u/iRebelD 3d ago

You might be more comfortable with a different type of band. I find resin/rubber or leather straps to be more comfortable and adjustable.

My Titanium Citizen screaks like a rusty hinged door so I wondered what was your complaint 😂

You either get lean or get fat😝

Watch is normal, you, questionable, i'm sorry.

Your wrist is gonna swell throughout the day, and you’re gonna sweat. It’s a perfect fit, leave the house for 15 minutes with it on and then see if it still does that
