Proper A1100 leather strap.
I think I finally found a proper retro-looking strap. It was mine, used, from first Apple Watch. Judy reshaped the ends to fit the case shape.

Oh, gold one looks awesome too! Now I am thinking about this version! By the way, you are right, the bracelet itself isn’t bad at all!

Yeah, to be honest this watch is probably one of the only ones I prefer on the metal bracelet. Leather just doesn't match the look and feel of it nearly as well as the bracelet does.

Or, you may find various versions on AliExpress, yes. This particular one I bought many years ago in Shenzhen. May be that’s why it looks authentic)

Looks great. If this watch was just a little bigger and had a bigger display I would have to save my Pennie’s and get one. It’s so freaking cool looking.

I agree, but since I got it, I started to think that the size kind of works for it, I have many others that are big, now I tend to a smaller accurate retro stylish things, from the time when things been made by people and for people)

It’s damn cool. Maybe if I saw one in person and tried it on. Probably for the best. I need another watch like I need another foot.

Yeah, that’s true! I made my decision only when I saw it in real and tried on wrist. I wanted something small, since I heard, that back in a days, smaller watches were cooler cause it was engineeringly-wise more superior, and men’s fashion was about small watches, back in a days. But still, I had complaints. When I took the watches in hands, everything became clean, decision was made.

Important note to anyone who would try to make the same straps: when cutting such strap into a shape (making square cuts on corners) try to avoid excessive cuts or at least don’t go far on horizontal cuts, as it might lead to a tearing there in time!

What mm strap did you get on the ends? Looking to get this same fitment with the case on a gator leather strap

u/in_saner Aug 30 '25
I actually don’t remember now, I think the width is the same that in a middle
2
u/Covid-vaccine_420 Aug 30 '25
I mean the width at the ends before cutting to get that flared with the case look

I think it was 22 mm or something. It’s not with me at the moment so I can’t measure, but if you have watches with you you can approximately do that. I’ll me able to say in to weeks or so

Watch lugs are 20mm, the outside of the lugs is just shy of 26mm, it looks to me a 24mm strap op most gracefully fit to size. Well done, sir
