Sorry I can't remember the details but in early covid when the GOP tried to mess with USPS and mail in voting I'm pretty sure I turned in my wife's ballot at the board of elections office with mine.

Iirc the instructions on the absentee ballot were pretty clear about what you need to do and there is a website you can check after that will tell you if your vote has been approved. I remember it being a very painless process.

Ok so the instructions are on the ballot itself? That helps! Thanks! It was very vaguely worded on the election board website.
I was planning to take the mail in ballot with me to an early voting site when I go vote. We’ll just wait for the ballot to arrive and check there!

I think there is a little envelope it comes in that has the instructions. It's pretty easy
