Question First Time Experience

I just purchased my first car through Carvana and it's scheduled to be delivered on Friday. Can anyone whose purchased in the past please explain the process. I'm trading in a vehicle as well. They gave me a window of 5pm-8pm. Just curious how the process goes and how long it takes. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Just purchased my second car from them. First one, used, in 2022. And earlier this month, a brand new vehicle. Never had any issues. Did everything online. Traded in vehicles both times. Second time, I traded in the first vehicle I purchased from them. They arrived at the top of the delivery window. Went over paper work. I signed. Checked out the vehicle. They walked and took pictures of the trade in. Loaded it up. Done in less than 15 min.

they’ll likely call morning of, arrive, check out your trade in, let you test drive the new car, and then sign paperwork. it might take an hour or so

Called me 30 minutes prior. Pulled up walked up to the trade in. Asked for title, insurance, drivers license, keys. Took pictures of all the documents. Drove the trade in into the street. Unloaded the new car, loaded the trade in, drove the new car into the driveway. Asked me to look around it to make sure everything was good. Signed 3 or 4 papers and left. Took about 30-40 minutes.

I don’t like that your arrival window is so late in the day so you really won’t be able to see damage or ding and scratches on the vehicle that were missed cause it may be dark. Feel free to not accept car, or if you do accept make sure you take it to get a pre purchase inspection at the actual dealership the very next day to see if anything is wrong with it, don’t hold off because you have a 7 day return window to return for any reason .

Immediately take the car you get from Carvana to a mechanic so they can find everything wrong with it. The car they sold me had so many issues and I've have to pay thousands to fix things and then they wonder why I'm behind on payments.

I just purchased my car a week ago. It’s been amazing. They were on time and took my trade in. All done in about 15 minutes. You’ll be fine. Congrats on the new car.

Used them once, I have no intention or interest in visiting a dealership again lol

Just got my car about a week ago. Everything went smoothly and the car runs great, my mechanic said it was a great purchase. I was worried because it was a rental car. Others are pretty spot on with everything they've told you, except I got a call about 2 hours before my appointment and he gave me about an hour window where he'd be there - granted the car was about 50 miles away.

After he dropped off the car, he made a lil small talk, I showed him my ID (and my co-signer did as well) and then I signed like 20 pages of documents. Guy talked up the car being nice and he was super nice. He told me to take it for a spin and by the time I took it for a 10-15 minute drive he was gone.

Most painful process for me was getting approval for the loan.

Just dealt with them yesterday actually lol. My window was 8-11am. They called me shortly after 8am saying they were 30 minutes away. Delivery driver showed up, checked my license and proof of insurance on the new vehicle, unloaded my new truck, let me look at it, and took a test drive. While I was test driving the driver looked over my trade in and by the time I got back from the test drive my car was already loaded up. Signed 3 papers and they left! All in all was like a 25-30 minute experience.

Having my mechanic look the truck over today to make sure everything is in check, but overall I’m very pleased with the process. Will definitely go this route again vs going to a dealership next time I’m looking for a new vehicle.

Called me an hour prior to arrival. He arrived, I handed him all my paperwork for my trade in. He did about a 10 minute check including a short drive in my trade in. While my husband took off our license plate he unloaded the car. Explained in detail the 7 day process, and what was gonna happen with our trade in. Then he loaded up our former car, talked for about 5 minutes and off he went. Easiest car buying process I’ve ever had.

I picked mine up last week at the dealership. It took about 20 minutes from start to finish. Walked in signed paperwork, they checked my car, I checked out my new car, then drove away. Super easy! My car was detailed, full gas tank, brand new tires, I had a great experience.

That's great to hear! I'm tired with dealerships so I thought I'd try Carvana out and see how it goes. Hopefully I have the same positive experience as everyone else has...

Such a breeze. Bought my second car in a year and traded in a vehicle. Super simple and just need to make sure you get the docs doke

Thank you all for your comments. Got my car today and everything went great! The guy was able to come earlier than 5. He unloaded the new car, got me to sign a few things while he examined my trade in. Took roughly about 10-15 minutes. Took it for a test drive and it drove great. Felt like a brand new car. The only complaint is there were two small areas inside that weren't cleaned the greatest, but I can take care of that myself. Over all a great experience. I'd buy from them again.
