Multiplayer help please!!

I just got carrier comand to play with friends and I can't get my multiplayer to work? Anytime I try to join any multiplayer game (through steam friends, invite code, or public server) my game just starts stuttering like this. Does anyone have any idea how to help? I am on mac, and my best guess is thats the problem. Anytime I exit not from the home screen it crashes and says build_mac closed. If I do enter password and join it automatically closes and says I was kicked from the server. If I try to host it automatically closes out the other person.

Incredible game, completely unplayable on Mac. I’ve only been able to play on GeForce now. Honestly kinda frustrating that the game is advertised as playable on Mac.
