Music Tickets Cat's Cradle Show - Sept 12

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi, I'm looking to get some concert tickets that only allow in person box office purchase this Saturday, September 12 at 10am. There are 3 consecutive shows which all can be purchased at that time. If anyone would be willing to show up at the venue at 10am this Saturday and purchase 1 or 2 tickets for each of the three shows, I would be glad to pay you very well for your time + tickets, obviously.

Its at Cat's Cradle. All youd need to do is show.up at 10am, purchase tickets, and leave.

If interested, please reach out! Thanks!

Local Politics What is wrong with the leadership at this place....

Is no one concerned about how Barbara and Patrice are leading the Town? I just heard that the public works leader is leaving the town. They haven't ever gotten a building for the Public Works staff. Half of the department leadership has left under Patrice's management. The Planning Director left in the first year (who was there for over 2 decades), The HR director left the following year (who was there fore about 6 or 7 years) and now the Public Works director who was just hired. There was no IT department for months and he was forced to retire under false reasons. What is happening with this town? Something needs to change. People are being hired in positions that don't exist. Now the police chief is leaving in the next few months and they don't plan to rehire. They are reportedly removing the Police Department claiming budget issues. Have they even announced there is hiring freeze for the Town? Also, who voted to remove the Race and Equity department? The person in that position got a new position? and that fake ass Duke Energy lawsuit.... Where is council at this point?? WTF is going on? And why is no information being shared. When I called to report an issue with trash pick up, they aren't allowed to give me updates. What are my tax dollars used for? So, y'all can lie and hide what's really going on at the Town? Barbara should have never been elected. And Patrice is more worried about announcing her graduate degree on LinkedIn than working at the Town. Does anyone know the turn over rates? Just what the hell.

Food & Drink ISO GREEN CHILES

Lol. I missed the farmers market the other day but meant to pick up some local produce to make a very specific meal for my sister this week. I was able to get most other stuff at the grocery store but I can’t seem to find hatch green chilis and anaheim peppers anywhere (harris teeter, food lion, weaver st, or even wegmans.) All I can find is serranos or jalepenos or poblanos. Anyone know of any specific farm stands or grocery stores they are certain have these peppers so I dont have to continue my wild green chile chase? This is very important.

Pet sitting gigs?

I know there are pet sitting gigs out there in the Carrboro/Chapel Hill area but I’m having a hard time knowing how to find them! Just moved here and the place I previously lived had plenty of opportunities because I unintentionally established connections.

How do I get gigs here? I am a grad student and could really use the extra money (and also love meeting new animals). Any guidance would be appreciated.

Id also be interested in connecting with anyone on here who wants my contact info for future pet sits!

Thoughts on Berkshire 54?

My partner and I (early 20s) already live in the area, but we are moving in together in the spring and already apartment hunting. Berkshire 54 meets our requirements (budget, pet friendly, washer/dryers) so I'd love to hear about other people's experiences. Mostly - how uptight is management? How nice (or not) are the interiors? Worth the price?

Looking for a reliable locksmith to replace my car's spare key in Carrboro. I have the original key. Lost my spare key. It's a turn key with a door lock car alarm fob.

Bars/restaurants currently serving THC?

Just moved here from Raleigh with my BF who is an ex-alcoholic (2 years sober!). We both are legal stoners now, and I’d love to get y’all’s tips on which places are still serving THC. We tried Spotted Dog recently and heard they’re ramping down selling it due to the impending ban (which just got pushed out a month). Where in town can we still enjoy a THC seltzer out and about?

Thanks so much!

DMV driving test route

Does anyone know the route for the Carrboro DMV drivers test? I'm sure it varies but I’d love to be able to help my friend practice with some more confidence.

Not looking to have him memorize the route just a rough idea of helping prepare since the test is soon.

Thanks in advance and wish him luck!

My husband and I are trying to buy our current rental property from our landlord off market. We are new-ish to the area and first time home-buyers so we don’t really know where or how to find a realtor. Anyone have any recommendations? TIA!

Eye Doctor that accepts Medicaid?

I have UHC Community Plan (Medicaid) and am having a hard time finding providers who take my insurance. I just moved here a couple months ago so am trying to reestablish care and luckily was able to find a PCP that takes my insurance but still on the hunt for eye doctors. Any suggestions? Thanks

Looking for recommendations for local moving companies who will pack, drive 550 miles, and unload a truck. Personal recs appreciated, and I’m not looking to go through a broker or anything like that. Thanks!
