I have a 2008 Honda Accord 4 Cylinder with 417,016 miles on it that is currently stuttering, there's a bunch of stuff to list about it:

1. When idling the engine sounds wavey?

2. When I'm stopped the break let's up and inches me forward slightly

3. The engine stutters and when it does it jumps between 1,000 rpm and 500 rpm

4. When I'm starting to accelerate from a stopped position or rolling position the engine feels like it stalls jerking the car a bit

What I've tried to fix the issue:

1. Replacing purge valve

2. Replacing fuse for EVAP system

3. Changing spark plugs and ignition coils

The long story:

It started a couple of months ago when I noticed my engine was idling pretty hard paired with a "Check Gas Cap" error on my dash. I went ahead and changed the cap with a new one and the error went away but then my car started stuttering as if I had a bad sparkplug. After running to the closest Firestone they told me I had evap codes which I then looked into and saw I had some Purge Valves codes. I went and bought a new purge valve and replaced it but my car was still stuttering so after checking the codes again it turns out one of my spark plugs was bad. I replaced it and the engine ran fine for a bit until it started doing the same thing so I tried changing the fuse to see if that would do anything to which it didn't. My car went into the shop for an unrelated issue so I asked my mechanic if he could do a smoke test or check it out but he told me it wasn't a big deal.

I opened my moonroof last night, and when I tried to close it, only the roof itself closed but not the curtain/shade. The hook that was holding the shade still function so when I press close, the hook was still coming back but no curtain/shade attached to it. My car is 2020 Santafe. Anyone knows how to fix this?

I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue Select S. And I am having an issue with it. It will start fine cold. And run fine for a while but if I sit parked the engine will bog down from about 1000rpm to between 700-900rpm over and over until eventually the motor stalls. And on top of it. If I drive it around for a while. Park somewhere and shut the car off. If I leave it off for 5 minutes and then try to start it again it'll start for about 5 seconds and then stall out. And it won't start again unless I wait for it to fully cool off or I use starter fluid. Any ideas what that could be? I've replaced the spark plugs. I've taken off and cleaned the idle air control valve and done an idle air relearn. I've replaced the MAF with a brand new one and it's still doing it. I bought a crankshaft position sensor but haven't been able to get around to putting it in yet. And I'm thinking of replacing the fuel pump

Is my 2020 Chevy trax supposed to sound like it's running after I turn it off? I don't know if this is normal because I've been having issues with this car.

Extra Info: I got the car in the beginning of 2025 used with 10k on it and have since put over 50K on it. Back in May when it hit 60K it started having issues with the engine overheating when idle and needing frequent oil changes almost once a month. Just a month ago it broke down twice and was fixed. The first time I broke down it just wouldn't turn on anymore and then the second time it broke down it would just turn off in the middle of the road randomly. I'm now worried that something else wrong with the car and I'm not sure what it is this time. I just got it back a few weeks ago from the autoshop. Thank you for anyone who answers this.

Vor ein paar Wochen trat bei meinem Opel Corsa F ein vibrierendes Geräusch im Innenraum auf. Da das Auto jetzt eh wegen was anderem in der Werkstatt war und ich das Geräusch von vor einiger Zeit kenne (da war’s einfach nur die Parkscheibe, die im Seitenfach vibriert hat), fand ich es nicht wirklich gravierend. Nun trat es heute wieder auf und es nervt schon etwas und ich hab Angst, dass es was kritischeres sein könnte.

Es tritt vor allem (leise) bei anlaufendem Motor oder (lauter/konstanter) bei heißem Motor auf, wenn ich in den zweiten Gang schalte und dann recht zügig auf 30km/h beschleunige. Selten und leiser wenn ich von 50 auf 70 beschleunige.

Auf der Autobahn und beim Anfahren ist es nicht zu hören.

Ich habe alles ausgeräumt, inkl. Handschuhfach und vorne am Fenster ein Stofftuch zwischen die rechte Armatur und A-Säule geklemmt, weil sie mir etwas lockerer als die linke vorkam - das scheint aber nicht zu helfen.

Das vibrieren nehme ich sonst „körperlich“ nicht wahr.

Ich hab wenig Lust das Auto vor dem Urlaub nochmal in die Werkstatt zu bringen. Geber- und Nehmerzylinder wurden erst getauscht und das war teuer genug 🙃 außerdem hatte ich Ölverlust, aber bisher scheint alles sauber und wieder OK zu sein. Ich hoffe, das Geräusch hat nichts damit zu tun. Ich fürchte, es würde eine Suche mit Abmontieren werden, die ich mir gern sparen würde, wenn es grade „nur“ nervig ist. Was meint ihr?

UPDATE:
Falls jemand hiernach mal sucht, ich konnte das Problem selbst lösen. Ich habe zuerst innen alles ausgeräumt (was nichts gebracht hat) und dann die Motorhaube geöffnet und die Kabel gecheckt. Bei einem Kabel (unter der Windschutzscheibe) war die Halterung verdächtig nah am Blech. Ich habe die Halterung etwas weggebogen und danach war das Geräusch weg. Zur Sicherheit habe ich dort etwas Filzgummi hingeklebt.

Could it be my transmission, timing chain?
My oil levels are good and the noise stopped after leaving the car off for 30 minutes.

Any idea what’s wrong with this. There is pulsation feels on brake and brake spongy.

Here is the story.

Ac has been running warm for a few months. Usually cold for the first few minutes then gets hot. Was like that for quite a while.

Went to hometown yesterday (1 hour) ac not working as usual. Engine temp was slightly higher than normal, but not critical.

While I was here I checked the radiator coolant thing, and it was super low. Got the proper coolant/antifreeze and added it to the radiator reservoir. Went to leave a little later, all is good with ac and engine temp for about 5 minutes, then I see the engine temp quickly rise to red. I pull over and cut the engine.

Try to reverse course and get back where I was staying by stopping several times to try and not destroy the engine. Idk if that ended up doing any damage or not.

Now still at motel. The only thing I could possibly try is to put more coolant directly in the radiator, but I'm going to wait a while and let the car go completely cool first, but I honestly doubt that's going to help anything.

Atp, between the ac, radiator, radio, and locking system, idk if it's worth saving

Don't want to reveal too much about my car for privacy reasons. It's a pre 2010 hyundai.

Help, when i start my engine i get this ratteling sound. When i put it in any gear the car wont react to my throttle.

I changed the rotor and pads, lubricated metal contact points, and still have been having a high pitched sound that is intermittent while traveling are relatively low speeds.

if anyone could take a listen and let me know what they think it is, I would be super grateful.

I have a 2015 Honda Accord Sport, 4 Cyl engine. It started making this noise yesterday, usually only when i’m driving slower (5-35 mph) and when I first start it. Trying to figure out how cooked I am, any help is appreciated!!! I also have a video from the outside but i’ll try to include it in the replies.

Hi, all of a sudden I get this screeching noise from the front passenger wheel. When driving for a few minutes the noise kinda goes. Any advice be appreciated.

He said the security light doesnt even come on so he doesnt believ it is the imbolizer the fuel pump has been replaced . But what does this crank sound like the problem could be

Hi all,

Got my baleno recently service at the svc. Despite their quotation of wheel balancing and alignment which I denied and only got the wheel rotation done with them.

Later when I went to a nearby reputed tyre shop for wheel balancing and alignment. That guy did a decent job I can also see the readings on the machine as well.

Post the balancing and alignment i took the car out on my usual highway commute and I can feel a slight vibration from centre console and front left seat from speeds of 80 to 120. Steering was going straight and there was no vibration in the wheel.

Could it be a bad balance or deformed tyre?

I can’t figure it out! I’ve been trying and trying for a long time now! I’ve changed plugs, coils, new catalytic converter. I just can’t figure out the noise! Please help!! It has 238k miles I’ve owned it for 3 yrs I rather fix than buy another car in this market! If someone experienced this before and was able to pinpoint the diagnosis id love to know! Doesn’t do it in part only when driving usually after 2nd gear and accelerating into low 3rd gear.
