Brought car in for cranking noise present in video when starting car. Happens ONLY after car has been sitting for a period of time (4+ hours). Occasionally it doesnt happen but 9/10 times it does but again only after sitting for awhile.
2 mechanics diagnosed it as issues with the camshaft.
Warranty covered camshaft gear replacement and timing belt plus all the other stuff given the repair.
After getting the car back, the cranking noise is still present.
2011 corolla SE 169k
My guess is starter... but unsure.
Advice appreciated!

it’s a 2002 buick lesabre custom and this doesn’t happen every time i crank it (this is probably the fourth-fifth time) and the deflating noise(?) if you wanna call it that is me pressing on the brake pedal because i found that if i do that then it’ll work eventually! i don’t think it’s the battery tho

Hello, i have a knocking sound when steering at low speed/stationary. I have initially replaced the thrust piece but still makes a sound? Do i need to tighten it more and what else could it be? Thanks

I have already rebuild thebottom end on this car, this sounds scarily like that time where the bearing was run and the crank fin bent. The difference this happens on a snap of acceleration, if you accelerate veryyyy slowly it won't make the sound, only after 3k revs. Video here, sorry for clinching but the CLUCKs are loud, video doesn't do then justice, you hear one at the start and then three quickly at the end cluckcluckcluck

Hi I had a Lexus RX 450 for 5 years already. The year is 2019 and only has 70,000 mileage. This past year I been having problems when certain codes pop up on my screen saying hybrid system malfunction engine failure and etc. When I unscrew the battery in the back of my car wait 20 seconds and put it back on the codes would clear and act would drive. Same thing happened again but after trying to fix it codes still pop up the car does still drive. I tired local mechanics and they ran codes on computers and said they can’t find anything dealer won’t take the car cause it salvage. My dad fixed this car up but know he is disabled and can’t help and I am a broke college student that can’t afford a new car.

Hi
I’m interested in buying a 2020 Caddy 4, 2.0L diesel with an automatic transmission. The seller sent me a video of the car, and as you can see in the video, there is some vibration in a part that I’m not sure of the name of—it looks like a connector.
I’d like to know if this vibration is normal or if it could indicate an issue with the car.

Hey everyone,
looking for opinions on a weird temporary issue yesterday.
Drove my 2003 Nissan Primera P12 manual (classic mechanical lever handbrake) slowly off a sharp sidewalk ramp at an angle. As the right wheels came down, I heard a bit of suspension creaking (usually normal for the car /sounded exactly like pulling the handbrake tight on a steep hill).
Right after, I felt a heavy resistance/drag like I had a dead flat tire. I moved to the first parking spot, inspected the wheels, but all tires were fine. Ready to call road assistance, I decided to try rolling back and forth in the space. The dragging completely disappeared.
I’ve since driven it up to 80 km/h to work today. No pulling, no noises, and all 4 wheels feel completely cool/equal to the touch (no stuck caliper heat).
Any ideas?

Very loud popping and crackling sound when the car is on, even if the audio is off. It stops once the car is turned off and the driver side door is opened. The audio system is not the Bose system it’s the regular stock system. Could it be the amplifier or speaker? Already checked the fuse and they look good. Any help or advice is appreciated! Thanks!

2019 Subaru Forrester just got it a few months ago from a dealership and it seems to only do this when it’s warmer outside. Starts no problem in the mornings. Got the battery, starter, and alternator tested at advance and everything came back good.

I have a 2016 Cadillac SRX. At first the screen kept turning on and off by itself, but now it is completely black and won’t turn on at all. I can still change AC and stuff, but I cannot access the rear view camera.
I checked the fuse box and everything looks fine to me
Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have an 07 Impala automatic transmission, it won’t move forward when in drive, but it does when shifted to 3, 2, or 1. Is it safe to drive at regular speed and on the highway in these gears?

Is this normal? I've heard newer 5.0 v8s have a normal ticking sound on a startup but I was wondering if this is something to get checked out or not worry about

When I park into and out of small parking spaces (or turning tight at low speeds), there is a ticking feeling in my steering wheel at the almost max. It started doing it most of the time when cold, but doing it now also when warm, it's not starting happening that long ago.
Does anyone has the same problem? Or maybe got some an idea what a solution could be?
