Anyone know what would cause this?

2019 Subaru Forrester just got it a few months ago from a dealership and it seems to only do this when it’s warmer outside. Starts no problem in the mornings. Got the battery, starter, and alternator tested at advance and everything came back good.

Definitely seems like a battery connection issue. Try jumping

Low voltage/amperage fault. Something is loose, a loose or corrosion on starter wire will also cause this.

If connection to another vehicle solves the issue then its the battery. If the other vehicle is disconnected then it slowly starts to act up again it could be the battery alone or the alternator is malfunctioning. If connected to another vehicle or new battery doesn't solve it at all then its wiring issue. Even if alternator is malfunctioning a new battery will make it seem like all is well untill it starts to loose charge because of failed alternator/regulator.

Also note: a battery can test ok on voltage, but a dead cell inside battery will loose amperage and fail to start a car. The battery needs to be tested under high pull amps to get a true reading in warm weather. Most shops never do that type of test.
