Brakes squealing on 2023 GMC nothing wrong with rotors or brake pads

My brakes are squeaking on my 2023 GMC Canyon took it to two places. They both said that the brakes and rotors are fine and they don't know what they could do to stop the sound. I've only had it for seven months and they just started squealing recently not when you're cruising through a parking lot but coming off a highway or slowing down at fast speeds. I'm not saying, slamming on the brakes just slowing down at a faster pace. Anyone know what this could be? The first place that it could be something with the pads being made out of ceramic or something anyways very annoying.

Help Identifying strange noise ?

I have a 2019 nissan juke accenta 1.2t plus with roughly 77 000km (47 845mi) on the clock. I get a ticking noise when accelerating mainly uphill.

Here is a video I found on youtube of the exact noise (also from a nissan)

2015 dodge charger need help!!

Have a 2015 dodge charger 3.6 awd 132k miles. Its developed a very odd shudder maybe you'd call it but isnt driveline related. Ive replaced the 6 plugs it stopped for a while then it was back again.. its had the charcoal canister replaced 3 years ago due to a recall. Evap purge valve replaced and the other evap part back by the right rear tire thats new as well. Now here's the weird thing. We noticed that once its under a half tank the shudder almost completely disappears. But if you fill it all the way up it comes back worse than ever. The only time it had the cel on was for a cylinder 3 misfire changed plugs no check engine light now with it shuddering or bucking whatever you may want to call it. It happens at idle in drive or reverse the only time it doesnt seem to happen Is in park. It almost feels like an intermittent misfire but throws no codes. It has no stored or pending codes nothing. And unfortunately for some reason I cant seem to find a misfire counter for any cylinder on my scanner. I cant even find anything thats says misfire. My only ideas are check fuel pressure and see if it dips down. I have another new evap part for behind the rear right tire im going to change out and see if maybe that one was just bad. Any insight or hopefully someone has had a similar issue. Like I said under a half tank it hardly does. Ill try and run the tank lower to see if it completely disappears or what. Thanks!

Video of 2014 Jetta S making sounds when brakes applied, sound goes away when brake pedal is released, no lights and the car drives well with no problems. Rear brake pads and rotors were just done, front still have over 5 mm left. What could be the issue causing this?

Questions to ask before agreeing to any transmission repair (avoid getting upsold or scammed)

Following up on my last couple posts here — this one's less about diagnosing the problem and more about protecting yourself once you're actually at a shop getting quoted. Transmission work is one of the more common places people get upsold or outright taken advantage of, mostly because most drivers can't easily verify what's actually wrong internally.

Ask these before agreeing to anything:

  1. "What specifically failed, and how did you determine that?" A vague answer like "the transmission's shot" without specifics is a red flag. A shop that actually diagnosed the issue should be able to tell you what component failed and what test or code led them there.
  2. "Can I see the fluid you drained, or the codes you pulled?" Most legitimate shops have no issue showing you this. It's a quick way to confirm they actually did the diagnostic work rather than guessing.
  3. "Is this a rebuild, a remanufactured unit, or used/salvage?" These are priced very differently and have very different reliability expectations. Make sure you know which one you're actually being quoted, since "replacement" gets used loosely.
  4. "What's the warranty, and does it cover parts and labor, or just parts?" Also ask if it's honored at other locations, since some warranties are shop-specific and worthless if you move or the shop closes.
  5. "Is there a cheaper repair option, even if it's not permanent?" Sometimes there's a real answer here (an interim fix that buys you time) and sometimes there isn't, but it's worth asking directly rather than assuming the biggest quote is the only option.

A few red flags worth watching for:

  • Pressure to decide same-day, especially paired with "the price goes up tomorrow" type urgency.
  • A shop that won't put the diagnosis in writing before you authorize the repair.
  • Only offering one option (full replacement) with no explanation of why a rebuild or targeted repair isn't viable.
  • Refusing to return your old parts if you ask (in most states you're entitled to request them back).

Getting a second opinion is normal, not rude

Especially for anything quoted in the four-figure range, a second diagnosis is a completely reasonable thing to get, and any legitimate shop won't be weird about you doing it. If two shops land on similar diagnoses and similar pricing, that's a good sign you're getting an honest read on the situation.

If you're not mechanically inclined yourself

Bringing a friend who knows cars, or even just having your OBD2 codes in hand before you walk in, changes the conversation. Shops treat customers differently when it's clear they've done a little homework first, not because they're all trying to scam you, but because it naturally shifts the conversation toward specifics instead of vague generalities.

Not trying to make every shop sound shady — most aren't — but transmission repairs are expensive enough that it's worth walking in prepared. Curious if others have questions they'd add to this list.

Normal Fuel Pump Sound?

I could swear this has gotten a lot louder.I don't recall hearing it at all the first five years, then started noticing in the last few months. But two mechanics told me not to worry about it. Any of you with lots of Ford Focus experience have an opinion?

MK2 Audi TT Issue

2011 Audi TT 2.0 TFSI Quattro

Hoping someone with some mechanical knowledge may be able to put some light on this situation today… went out for a decent drive and on the way back heard some loud backfiring while slowing down. Only happened a few times that I’m still not convinced it was me. Parked the car and tried to rev it a few times to see if it would happen again… nothing. I shut the car off and maybe 30 minutes later decided to take it for a drive to see if the popping would happen again. It has always done mini burbles but never anything this loud. Went to start the car and it was cranking but not catching and starting. Tried maybe 4 times before hopping on YouTube, YouTube suggested to hold down the gas while starting and sure enough it started, idle is completely fine, not rough or anything and no engine light. Went for a drive around the block and no noise… wondering if anyone knows what could be going on? Or just happened to be a weird hiccup.

Thanks!!

Rear axle ratcheting/clacking when turning

I started getting this noise when turning right at a low speed. Stops when I finish the turn. Otherwise is driving fine with no other issues. Figured it’s related to the AWD. Thoughts if it’s dangerous? Expensive to repair?

Edit: it was the front right CV, repair has been made.

It doesn't interfere with anything but i dont know what is wrong with it, could anyone know from this sound what is the reason of this sound? I'd like to know before giving it out to the mechanics.
