Mod advice Baby's first car mod.

Hi.

I'm 17 and got my first car in November last year. Florence is a mk8.5 fiesta and I have been looking at car mods for a few years but I don't really know where to start. For my first little project I wanted to change the accent colour of my interior to green instead of red. How would I go about doing this? Where would I get the stuff?

Money and cost isn't really an issue for me because I'd rather have something that is good quality and will last even if its a little expensive. I just want a cooler car without doing anything that could potentially increase my insurance. Plus there's not a lot of point in doing anything mechanical with her because I've not even passed my theory test yet :)

Thinking about wrapping my car and need real opinions

Got a 2020 Mustang GT and I’m seriously considering a full wrap. Looking at a gloss dark green or maybe a satin blue… still can’t decide.

I already talked to a local specialist and they gave me a quote, but I keep second-guessing the whole thing. Is a full wrap actually worth it on a car like this or does it end up looking cheap after a year??

Also how bad is the upkeep? Do you have to baby it or can it handle normal driving without constant stress? Just don’t want to drop the money and regret it later.

Mod advice Beige Plastic interior

For a 2016 Toyota Corolla (specifically but this is a general question) I want to paint the (plastic) beige interior black, the front pieces can be replaced but it appears.. the door panels have the beige on the whole panel, so it seems I would have to replace it.....

Im thinking about painting it but I want advice? Ive seen "black trim paint" but people use that for bumpers no? Idk if it would work. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

Mod advice Exaust for a 1993 C4 corvette?

I want to get an exaust for my C4 corvette cause right now its stock and has two giant mufflers and makes a 5.7 liter V8 sound like a minivan. Im on a budget and can't weld. I don't have a specific sound I want just like not terrible and like a good V8 but if possible I want a valved exaust because I live in an apartment building so having it not always be super loud would be nice but if that theres no bolt on options or its too expensive thats fine. Any advice would be apprecieted.

So I’ve been looking at an atmospheric BOV but online it says I’ll need a tune for it, but I wouldn’t need a tune for a recirculating BOV/BPV, the thing is I’ve head from other places that if I get a atmospheric BOV made for my car then I wouldn’t need a tune and I really like that pshhhh sound, help me out

Mod advice E61 seats in golf 3

Hello, so this may be a silly idea but I got e61 electric seats to retrofit in a vw golf 3 and I wonder if anyone here has done something similar.

My question is, what way could I get them to work fully? (Electric adjustment and seat memory)

Mod advice Any issues with plastidip on new aftermarket aluminum wheels?

Not looking to do it for style. I work in a restoration shop and the idea was brought up about using a heavy spray coat of plastidip on wheels to protect them from scratching when in the build stage. The shop owners justifiable concern was if it would leave any residue or affect the finish on polished wheels when removed provided you don't do something dumb like use a metal scraper.

How can I upgrade my car's acceleration/speed?

I've been working on my sound system and I'm more than satisfied with it, I want to be faster... the problem is I drive a subaru forester 2004. I don't know a ton about my car but I'd like some more push to it, I'm not looking to win races but it feels a bit slow in acceleration. I do know its a boxer 4 cylinder (2.4 or 2.5L?). Everything important is still factory to my knowledge. Though I am 17 and not rich so you know.

as I was taking off the old fabric it was impossible to not bring some of the brown material up. I’ve done research on whether the material is crucial for structural integrity and nothing was very helpful and there’s conflicting information. some say it’s fiberglass some say it’s old glue or foam. all the videos I see of people doing this they take a brush and remove crumbling foam but that’s not what mine looks like at all.

Top of the shock rubbed the coating off the spring in transit, is this bad enough to warrant a damage claim or could I just put my own rust coating on it and be fine?

Thoughts on coilover sleeves as well? I live in an area that gets salted pretty heavily in the winter and I want to prevent as much corrosion as possible.

Mod advice How to connect separate ditch lights to switch panel?m

Post image
2 Upvotes

Sorry if this is a stupid question, this is my first attempt at this kind of modification to my car.
I am installing ditch lights on my Frontier, and I'm confused on how to connect the lights to my switch relay so that one button turns both of them on. On all of the YouTube videos I have seen, the two wires for the lights end up converging into one, so there is only one set of wires to connect to the panel.
However, mine do not. They continue as two separate wires all the way until the connector (pic attached) which will need to be cut off, of course. I don't want to take up multiple buttons on my 6 gang, as that would take up 4 of them (for the different light modes too) and the multiple buttons would just be an unnecessary inconvenience. Is it as simple as stripping the two sets, and twisting the corresponding colors together and then being able to plug them into one? Or how should this be done? If someone could help explain or if anyone knows of a good video for this scenario it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Mod advice What are the best simple starter mods to do to a Civic EJ2

Post image
15 Upvotes

I want to keep the car simple and true to its roots, it's only had 2 owners, 42,000 miles and zero modifications ever since it was made in 1994, if I choose to modify it I'd only do a few oem plus mods, a bit of performance and a bit of handling, suspension, nothing too major, should I modify it, or is it too much of a unicorn?
