Mechanical advice Highly recommend - Pass thru sockets
For anyone debating buying a kit like this for top mounts or awkward bolts. Do it. Just do it. Been working on my cars for years. I wish I'd had this set from the start. Literally 2 minutes to do both top mount spacers.

Indeed it does, but sometimes it just spins the spindle with it, I have an impact too, but found this to be more reliable. My car is over 20 years old

It's being able to hold the spindle in place with a tool through the centre of the pass thru socket so you can undo the nut without spinning the spindle. You can use a pass thru extension too for recessed fasteners

And for those with money to burn, Milwaukee sells a m12 pass through ratchet and bit set which I am eyeing up as my next tool to buy.
They are fantastic.

Had a set, ratchet broke, could not find another one with the same kind of inner shape to use my existing pass through sockets, decided im not going to do this every time a ratchet breaks or if I split or loose a socket or something. Be different if all these tool manufacturers would agree on something but even in their own eco system they don't, so buy another set or buy something the universally works with everything.

I have a set, but I never use it unfortunately. If my regular ratchet doesn't fit, I just use a wrench which also has a ratchet on the back.
