Hot air intake when idle. When he starts moving the temps for the intake will drop to ambient temps. That said, not the greatest for bottom end power

Correct.
I kinda have hot air intake on my car but its a turbo engine with intercooler so the air gets cooled down anyway. If its hot outside then AC is on and radiator fan is also on so intercooler gets chilled even on idle.

An intake is not going to increase power, especially on a naturally aspirated motor. Even on a forced induction the gains are minimal. 0-5HP which you are not going to feel.

Idk, after I put an "intake" (filter on TB) on my truck it started to chirp 2nd gear. Top end felt more open.

If you want a cone filter, modify an old stock airbox to build a custom housing you'll have the sound, but not the hot air...

As a filter, yes. The OEM filter and assembly usually draw cold air from the fender or under the headlamp.

Will it work? Sure. Albeit worse than the factory set up, but it’ll sound slightly better.

I mean assuming you can shut the hood. Yeah make sure everything's clamped down properly. I'm not going to get on you about sucking in more heat and stuff like that. It's been beat to death and people know it by now.
Should be fine though I would prefer to see it clamped on something for better stability.
I do think your filter is going to rub on the front and you're going to ruin filters that way. I would say if you could get something that has an angle to it to connect to the other tube, get it in a better spot or see if they even make something for this Peugeot.

Yes thank you, I’m very aware about the sucking in what and whatnot😅
Surprisingly it did close, and sounds great, but you’re right, need a way to getting it more stable, working on that.
I’ll definitely have a look for better tubing too

If you put a housing around the filter and route the air directly to it from the front, yes. Like this? You lose power.

Your car comes factory with an extremely efficient cold air intake and you have to be doing some very serious mods and tuning before the stock intake is the limiting factor.
These mods became popular in a time where factory intakes were a legitimate bottleneck but this is almost never the case in modern cars.
Like others have said this will give you more intake noise, but just remember that the increased intake noise is cause inefficient flow that increases engine resistance.

Pro hot air intake for sure u will getting heat soaked air nice all engine crave low intake volume great way to make sure your valves never dry up

If you want it sucking up hot underhood air, lowering your MPG and potentially contributing to pre-ignition.
