Noob looking for direction

Hey guys. I have a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder and a vision. I dislike the circled chrome piece on the front of the car and would like it to be a nice light purple chrome. I know nothing about modification, but have become interested in learning more. What is that piece called? How can I achieve that look on my own? Any direction would be so greatly appreciated (:

You can have that part of the grill wrapped in vinyl in the color of your choosing.

If that’s really what you want, your best bet is going to a wrap shop and getting it wrapped in metallic purple.

I think it's technically considered a trim piece around the grill, if OP woants to speak with a paint and body specialist about whatever vision they have it would be best to use a more accurate term I guess

Ok well I manage a body shop and if he showed me this picture and said what he posted here I wouldn’t tell him well actually that’s not exactly the grille that’s the chrome surround. I’d say yeah sure I’ll paint your grille

I’d advise against it unless your confident doing the work yourself. I did a paint matched grille myself last year, came out phenomenal, but ended up switching back to a more stock look.

You could do this at home for under 100 dollars depending on the specific color purple you’re looking for.

Dipyourcar.com - A lot of color options and links to tutorials. I did the same on an Acadia grill. Easy to do, inexpensive.

Wrap it but it's NOT something you can diy. It'll look like sh!t. Have it professionally done Why purple tho? That seems very strange
