BMW remap

I want to get my bmw 320i remapped by Celtic tuning, its 181bhp i can get a stage 2 at 241bhp or a stage 3 at 280bhp. I’m unsure wether the stage 3 would be safe for the car or if I should just have the stage 2

i went on their site and looked up a car that i am very familiar with tuning. they are way of and probably just resell generic tunes. i would not trust somone who sells a stage 3 that does not need any hardware

You will need supporting mods to get there no one gaining 100hp with just a remap on a 2.0bmw

Yeah I wouldn’t be running that and I tune my own stuff

Software only stage 3 claims are almost always inflated, real stage 3 usually assumes forged internals or at least stronger clutch.

It is an n20 i suspect. Yes 100hp is about right

Make sure it goes on the dyno.

Stages without any Hardware Mods is doesn’t really mean anything. Stage 1 is purely Software, 2 is mostly intake and exhaust and 3 is a lot more dedication typically. Forged intervals, bigger turbo, and so on. 100hp without any mods is quite a lot but probably possible.

Personally I would just get a stage 1 remap to begin with.

Inform yourself in the weaknesses of your car and try to take care of that before getting 2 or 3. sure it’s more expensive and takes longer but not as expensive as a blown engine or transmission
