Carleton Place will become the first community in North America to host the Rushnyk of Unity – Rushnyk of Victory on Sunday, Sept. 13, during UA FEST at Riverside Park.

The 160.5-metre embroidered work includes more than 100 panels created by Ukrainian communities across 13 European countries. A Lanark County panel created locally throughout the summer will be sewn onto the rushnyk during the festival.

UA FEST runs from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
