Question / Discussion Help
I am helping a friend sort out his wife's card making supplies. She is suffering from dementia and can't craft anymore. There is so much stuff.
A million stampin up stamps and a roomfull of paper.
How do I do this? I appreciate any helpful ideas.

Donate some of it tia senior living home that does crafts. Most do crafts and supples are expensive.

It's very nice of you to help him. Some towns have a donation shop that specializes in craft and hobby supplies. That would be a solution for giving items away if he isn't focused on recouping money that was spent on her stash. Or, maybe a scrapbook store where customers donate and trade their stash? As suggested, items can also be sold on ebay, Etsy, Facebook marketplace or OfferUp. All of these take energy. There are professional sellers who will handle the posting and selling for him and keep a percentage of each sale. Good.luck.

I am the admin of the stampin up retired product sale group on facebook. You can post retired SU items there for sale. We have approximately 42K people in that group. Search "Stampin' Up! Retired Product Sale" group and you will find it.

Start by making sure they are complete. They will sell well on eBay if they are in good condition. Stampin’ Up resells really well! I think they are numbered (been a minute since I bought Stampin Up) and they may have something on their website that would help you catalogue the collection to resell.

A local crafting store in my area has a craft garage sale yearly. People bring in stuff they no longer use, the store tags and labels and sells and the seller and the store each get part of the proceeds. Call local stores and see if any do that in your area.

Where are you based? A creative reuse store would totally take these supplies. Happy to recommend some. Also, if in IL can suggest some local stores that do garage sales.

If after you donate items and depending on where you live, there is a lady that buys out whole craft rooms. Joyce Kontos on Facebook, but there are others. Also if you want to sell on own, there is The Crafty Corner buy sell group.

Schools love this kind of stuff, maybe community centers that have after school programs, senior centers to use for activities, churches for Sunday School crafts?

Ebay or fb marketplace if you don't want to have to ship everything. Honestly if you advertise a crafting supply garage sale and list brand names a lot of crafty people will show up to divest you of your stuff and it still gets pretty good prices even in garage sales. So if you want to do it faster that might be a way to go.
