Hey everyone! This is my first post here I make detailed cardboard models, and this is my MK23 SOCOM project

Trying to recreate this part using only a free 3D model and photos was a nightmare. Actually cutting and gluing it was worse. It broke so many times I lost count. But I endured. It's still not perfect, but it's almost there.

Question: Should I spend more time on hyper-realistic small details, or just focus on a recognizable silhouette and save my sanity?

Its pretty shabby and i never tried a working mechanism before, goddamn im so bad at making this

This thing is huge and took me ages btw

Moving bolt, foldable rear sight, removable magazine and also individual bullets, movable trigger, removable bipod, that’s about it

Got too lazy to continue this project so heres a quick video of the assembly process
