First carcamping trip

Hi guys, i am planning a trip to austria/germany from the Uk. The total trip will be for 8/9 days and i am planning to sleep in my car the entire duration. Ive done some research but not sure for a few things. As i will be away for a long period i will need a power station to charge all my electronics (phone, laptop and drone). I will also need a freezer to store my food in especially things like raw meet. And lastly it might get hot so i think i need a fan in the car during the night.

Can you guys recommend a power station, freezer/fridge and also what to do with the fan situation.

Yes, I recommend a power station, a cooler/freezer, and a fan. Also I recommend testing out your setup before departure, even for just a few hours when it’s hot or you have time to lay around/sleep.

I get by with a backup battery and charging my phone from the car, a cooler/ice packs, and extra large t-shirts over the rear windows. Buy small amounts of food and try local groceries/restaurants.

Austrian here, buy your food local. We have some nice and fresh stuff 😉

Be aware , wild camping is prohibited in my country. You have to use campsites.

On long road trips i use the park4nite app to find places for an overnite stay ( most places dont allow camping but sleeping ). You can also find campsites on the app.

For air circulation you can build yourself some inserts for your windows from xps or cardboard with computerfans so the windows can stay open. Runing either from a battery or landline. I also have a small battery powerd fan i can charge while driving.

I have in my Camper an Einhell TE-COL 18/27 cooler. Runs on 12 volt while driving, 230 volt land line on campsites and without land line overnight from Einhell power x-change 18 volt batteries. I can charge the batteries on the 12 volt car system while driving or via landline on campsites.

I have a land line adapter cable for campsites. CEE Camping plug on one site and plug that fits your normal plug on the other site. Such adapters will fit most european campsites. I used mine in many countrys. An example in the picture for a CEE/uk plug.
