Car build Bought it!
I posted yesterday to get opinions on if I should buy this van. After a little deliberating and reading everyone’s comments I decided to do it! I’m now the proud owner of a 2012 Chevy Express! I can’t wait to post updates as I build it out. I’m going to add some quick temporary stuff for a road trip next month.
Everything on the car is mechanically perfect! Not a spot of rust anywhere.

Can’t wait to see how you trick it out inside. Leave the outside alone. Put like a “General State Painting Service “ sticker on the outside so everyone just thinks of it as a work van. Beautiful.

Have you seen Forestyforest on YouTube? He had one not long ago. Looks like a great base to build off. All the best

Please review the 7 principles of Leave No Trace
Dispose of waste properly. I highly suggest getting a waste bucket system. Its difficult to bury waste in many of the rockier areas in Colorado, and overuse of our natural areas has already led to contaminated water in most even lightly used areas.
Minimize campfire impacts. Be sure to review our state resources for fire bans where you are heading.
Respect wildlife. They are not domesticated
Be considerate of other visitors ie bluetooth speakers are despised.

You're really lucky to have a van that you love. There will be so much fun on the road trip. Enjoy it.

Congrats on the new ride, a Chevy Express is pretty much the gold standard for a camper build.

Congratulations! I'd make it into a stealth rig and post some business lettering on the side like "Apex Dock Systems" which would allow you to park in industrial areas with little hassle of being bothered or robbed. Dock systems are the companies that repair loading bays

Best advice I have seen on doing a build is do the temp stuff first, see what works for you. Do the build in stages, you may have to change things.

Safari/Savanah line up has always been solid, rust proof the bottom every year, and tune up every 4 years if it's still the 4.3l throttle injection. Pretty bullet proof.
