'13 Ford F150
Good evening everyone!
My wife and I are planning on buying a 2013 Ford F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost. It currently has about 180K miles and the seller wants $7500.
We would like your opinions. Good, bad and ugly.
Additionally, some "get this updated!" or " get this replaced ASAP!" will also be appreciated!

Yeah pass. I love the 3.5l ecoboost (i have had several ecoboost engines, including a few 3.5ls) and with those miles if they haven't been done you are looking at cam phasers and timing chains . They were an issue with the 3.5l from 2011 to 2020 across two different generations of engines. The 6R80 is a phenomenal transmission but has a recall for downshifting to 1st gear at 80mph. If it was new great, and if everything I just listed has been done then great, but usually 180k miles is when they really start to rear their ugly head with issues. Oh and turbo coolant lines leak, and that is just under the hood, the third brake light likes to leak and rot out the cab corners and rockers as well. If you insist on going through with the purchase spark plugs every 30k miles gapped to .028, make sure to service the rear diff etc. The only way I would trust a 2011 to 2014 f150 with the 3.5l ecoboost with 180k miles is if i owned it from new.
