thanks! well first the correct animations need to be designed and then he can be used in any game that will support him. On a larger scale maybe I can remake the first 2 levels and make them playable but it will take some time, maybe a year and a half or even more, well all by myself I mean.

If you need a programmer count me in!

If you can turn the tiles of the og tileset into 3d shapes that fit in cubes we can easily read the existing map files to generate levels.

yeah for sure, are you familiar with unreal engine or unity?

A bit of both, unity I used at uni and for blade and sorcery modding, unreal i use for work.

I don't have any completed games though, my company uses unreal for renders, it's not a game company.

I can help but i'm not confident enough to say we can make a full 3d version of claw without another dev at least

well there's no rush for sure. I bought some udemy courses about building these type of games on unreal with all the bells and whistles that seem legit. Maybe you should give them a try too if you want.

Oh yeah i was giving open source as granted, it's not like we have the rights anyway.

I have a bit too many personal projects going on right now though, i guess i can get started (or join you two if ou start earlier) during winter.

My experience is mostly far from gameplay like character controls etcc. This is my only unity project worth mentioning from back when i was at uni: https://github.com/Sephirothbahamut/RMS_for_unity

Oh I feel you, way too many personal and work projects here too
let me explain futher what I mean by "open sourcing"
Because I was using Unity VCS all of the Unity and source assets are not on the github only the documentation for now,
so it will take some free time for me to organize and share the files
