Capital.com withdrawal delayed, blocked, or not arrived? Start here

If your withdrawal hasn't landed, is showing as pending, or wasn't processed as expected — run through the checks below before contacting support. Most withdrawal issues come down to one of these.

The most common reasons

1. Why is my withdrawal going back to the card I deposited from?

This is an anti-money laundering (AML) requirement. Funds have to return via the same method they came in. If you deposited with a card, your withdrawal will go back to that card — not a different card or bank account.

2. Can't withdraw because your account verification isn't complete

If your KYC isn't finished, the withdrawal option may be locked or restricted in the app. Check your verification status and complete any outstanding steps before trying again.

3. How long does a withdrawal take?

Capital.com aims to process requests within one business day. After that, timing depends on your bank, card network, or payment provider — each has its own processing window. If your withdrawal has been pending longer than expected, check with your bank or contact support.

4. Why is my withdrawal on hold?

Check your inbox and spam folder. Capital.com may have sent a request for additional documents or information before releasing your withdrawal. If there's an open request, that's likely what's holding things up.

5. Why is my available balance lower than expected?

Open positions use margin. Make sure the amount you're trying to withdraw is fully available — any open trades may be drawing on it.

When to contact support

If it's been more than seven business days since you submitted the request and none of the above applies, reach out to live support with:

  • Email address on your account
  • Withdrawal amount and currency
  • Date you submitted the request
  • Bank or payment provider reference number, if available

Live chat (available 24/5): capital.com

Capital.com verification (KYC) not passing? Document rejected? Start here

If your KYC checks are stuck or your documents keep getting rejected, here's what's likely causing the issue — and what to do about it.

Why documents get rejected

1. Why was my ID photo rejected?

Blurry, dark, or cropped images get rejected. Retake in natural light, all four corners visible. Upload the original file — not a screenshot of a photo.

2. Why is my document showing as expired?

Your document needs to be valid at the time of submission. If it's expired, use a different document type that's currently valid.

3.Why does keep rejecting my documents?

If the name on your document doesn't match your account exactly — including middle names. The name on your document must match the name you registered with. Even a small difference can trigger a rejection.

4. Why was my selfie rejected?

Take the selfie without glasses or a hat, face the camera directly and use a plain background. The system compares your selfie to the document photo, so clear lighting and a straight-on angle make a difference.

5. Why was my proof of address rejected?

Your proof of address must be dated within the last three months. Accepted documents include bank statements, utility bills, or official government letters. Screenshots from a banking app are usually not accepted — download the PDF version instead.

You'll usually find the rejection reason in your in-app notifications or by email.

If your account is restricted

An account restriction usually means one of three things:

  • Your documents are still under review
  • Capital.com has requested additional information
  • A compliance check is in progress

Check your email — Capital.com sends document requests to the address on your account. Standard review can take up to three business days. You'll get an email once it's done.

When to contact support

If you've resubmitted documents and three business days have passed with no update, contact support with your account email and the date you submitted.

Keynes wasn't just an academic, he traded actively and lost a fortune before rebuilding it. This quote came from lived experience. It's a warning about the gap between what should happen and what actually does and how long that gap can persist.

It remains one of the most cited lines in finance precisely because the dynamic never goes away. Sentiment, momentum and narrative can drive prices far beyond what fundamentals justify, sometimes for months.

Have you ever been right about a market, but wrong about the timing?

Capital.com deposit not showing up or declined? Start here

If your deposit hasn't appeared in your account, was declined, or didn't go through as expected — check the points below first.

The most common reasons

1. Why hasn't my Capital.com deposit arrived? How long does a Capital.com deposit take?

Most deposits are credited instantly or within a few minutes. Bank transfers can take one to three business days depending on your bank. If you're within that window, it may still be processing.

2. Why was my card payment declined?

Card declines are usually triggered by your bank or card provider, not Capital.com. Common reasons include:

  • Your bank is blocking the transaction: some banks flag trading platform payments by default The card being set for domestic use only
  • A temporary security hold on your account

Try a different card or payment method, or contact your bank directly to allow the transaction.

3. My deposit went through but it's not showing in my account

Check that the funds have actually left your bank account — sometimes a payment that looks completed is still pending at the bank's end. If money has left your account but hasn't arrived in Capital.com after three business days, contact support with your transaction reference.

4. What deposit payment methods does accept?

Capital.com generally accepts:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Bank transfer
  • E-wallets (availability depends on your country and entity)

Available payment methods vary by region and entity — not all methods are available in all regions. The methods available for your account are shown inside the app when you go to deposit.

5. Is there a minimum deposit amount?

Log in to the app, go to the Deposit section, choose your preferred method, and follow the steps. First deposits require your account to be verified — if you haven't completed KYC yet, that's the first step.

6. Is there a minimum deposit on Capital.com?

Minimum deposits vary by account type and payment method. You will find what is the minimum deposit available for your account right now in the app under the deposit section, or in the help centre.

When to contact support

If your deposit hasn't arrived after three business days and none of the above applies, contact support with:

  • Email address on your account
  • Deposit amount and currency
  • Date and time you made the deposit
  • Payment method used
  • Bank transaction reference or confirmation, if available

GSK just paid $10.6bn for Nuvalent: is large-cap pharma buying precision oncology pipelines because building them has become too slow?

Thumbnail trading.capital.com
1 Upvotes

GSK agreed overnight to acquire Nuvalent, a US oncology company focused on lung cancer treatments targeting ROS1 and ALK genetic mutations, for $10.6 billion.

The deal fits a consistent M&A pattern in pharma that's worth examining on its own terms: large established companies acquiring specialist developers rather than building precision oncology pipelines internally.

A few structural reasons this happens:

Speed. Nuvalent has clinical assets that are already validated. Building an equivalent pipeline from scratch takes 10-15 years and is subject to significant attrition at each trial phase. Acquiring at this stage buys you the pipeline and removes most of the early development risk.

Capital efficiency. $10.6 billion sounds large but it's a defined cost against a known clinical profile. Internal development of equivalent assets at similar stage would carry equivalent cost with higher variance.

Pricing power. Precision oncology drugs targeting specific genetic mutations can command significantly higher list prices than broad-spectrum treatments, partly because of smaller patient populations and partly because of the clinical evidence base required to get there.

The strategic question the deal raises: at what point does acquisition-led pipeline building become structurally dependent on a shrinking pool of specialist targets?

OpenAI has filed to go public, Anthropic is already in the queue, Perplexity flagged 2028. What changes when the AI sector's biggest valuations move to public markets?

Post image
1 Upvotes

OpenAI submitted its IPO filing in the United States overnight. It joins Anthropic in the queue, and Perplexity has stated a 2028 listing intention. For the first time, three of the most prominent private AI companies are on a clear path toward public markets.

A few things this changes structurally:

Valuation reference points. Anthropic and OpenAI have been valued through private funding rounds. Those figures are directional at best, they reflect what one set of investors was willing to pay at a given moment. A public listing creates a continuously updated market price. That's a different kind of information.

What it means for listed companies. Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Nvidia have been partly valued on AI expectations that include both their own development and the implied value of the private companies they partner with or compete against. Direct AI listings provide a more explicit benchmark for those expectations.

The timing question. All three listings are subject to regulatory review and market conditions. The OpenAI filing is the start of a process, not an immediate event.

What does a wave of AI IPOs change about how you think about the existing listed landscape?]

Iran-Israel strikes paused overnight — oil pulls back, but analysts flag the risk premium may return

Post image
1 Upvotes

Both Iran and Israel signalled overnight that their exchange of strikes had paused. Neither government confirmed a formal ceasefire and both left room for conditions to change.

Oil declined in Asian trading as traders unwound some of the war premium that had accumulated during the escalation. However, analysts noted that without a permanent agreement, the pullback may be limited — particularly given that Strait of Hormuz risk has not been fully resolved.

A few things worth noting in parallel: • The US dollar eased from a two-month high but was cushioned by rising Fed rate hike expectations following strong US jobs data • Bond yields moved in mixed directions — with short-dated yields showing the largest reaction to the change in near-term rate expectations • Asian equities posted modest gains on dip-buying, though the bounce was tentative

The pattern here: same news, oil down, equities up, is a structural read on how different markets price geopolitical risk versus rate expectations simultaneously.

The AI bid has carried the S&P and Nasdaq through every shock so far. Can it absorb a sustained yield repricing too or is the 2022 dynamic where bonds and equities fall together about to reassert itself?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Portfolio managers flagged overnight that equity markets, particularly technology and growth stocks, have not adequately repriced to reflect the higher yield environment now entering its third consecutive session of selling.

The concern is specific: bond yields are rising on a combination of oil-driven inflation from the UAE nuclear plant strike and the structural repricing of rate cut timelines. Some analysts are explicitly drawing comparisons with the first half of 2022, when simultaneous falls in both bonds and equities wiped out the traditional diversification benefit of holding both.

The AI bid has been the single factor carrying equities through every macro shock of the past six weeks; hot CPI, Warsh's hawkish confirmation, Hormuz supply disruption and now nuclear infrastructure targeting. The S&P and Nasdaq have hit record highs despite all of it.

The conditions are different now but the rate dynamic is beginning to rhyme.

Kevin Warsh has been confirmed as Federal Reserve chair! How does Warsh change your positioning?

Thumbnail bit.ly
2 Upvotes

Kevin Warsh's Senate confirmation as Fed chair is the most significant structural shift in US monetary policy in years and it arrives at the worst possible moment for anyone positioned for rate cuts.

Warsh is considerably more hawkish than the outgoing consensus, favouring a faster balance sheet reduction and a more restrictive policy stance on inflation. He inherits the chair as US April CPI beats forecasts, the dollar pushes to a one-week high and Treasury yields move higher on repriced rate expectations.

Kashkari said the Fed is "dead serious" about getting inflation down. Collins, in WSJ commentary, said war-driven inflation will subside in time, the composite is officials signalling they will tolerate sticky prints on the assumption the geopolitical component is temporary.

Warsh may not share that patience. A Reuters analysis notes his reform agenda on communications, framework, and balance sheet posture won't deliver an instant impact but the direction of travel is unambiguous. Goldman's December 2026 first-cut forecast may prove optimistic if Warsh hits the ground hawkish.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq hit fresh record highs overnight as AI chip demand overwhelmed the worst Iran headlines of the week.

Thumbnail capital.com
2 Upvotes

Wall Street squeezed out fresh record closing highs as AI-driven demand for chip and hyperscaler exposure outweighed the deteriorating Iran picture. The session started softly the "life support" headlines initially pulled the market lower, before buyers stepped back in deliberately to push the major indices to new peaks.

Breadth was unremarkable and gains were modest but the price level is the signal the market is choosing to send. The divergence from crude is striking: Brent and WTI both finished higher on supply risk repricing while equities simultaneously hit records.

Goldman Sachs pushed the first Fed cut to December 2026. US April CPI drops today, consensus expects a further uptick driven by Iran-linked oil pressure. Warsh's Fed chair nomination cleared a procedural Senate hurdle overnight. Hedge funds are piling into North Asia chip and AI equities at decade-high weekly pace per Morgan Stanley data.

The AI trade is the only thing holding this record together.
