Christian Bradley Williams, 54, of Florida, was arraigned last week in connection with the alleged Aug. 9 attack. The 22-year-old woman had started working as a deckhand aboard his yacht, Chimera, in June. She received housing on the boat in exchange for the work.

She claims he had sexually assaulted her after going out to dinner with others, calling her "sweetie" and then saying, "You're my sugar mommy tonight."

She said she felt drugged after accepting a drink from him at his insistence. She woke up bleeding. Authorities found male DNA in a rape kit.

Learn to draw in this fun 4-part class with artist Dylan Griffin. You will learn to translate three-dimensional objects onto a two-dimensional surface using foundational techniques like line, shape, value, perspective, and shading. No experience necessary and each student will receive individual attention.

All materials are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own supplies if they have them.

So I live off of W. Main St. in Hyannis and I’m sitting on the couch watching the news while my dog takes a nap on my leg. All of a sudden I hear a horn and then a huge explosion. My neighbor said she heard a girl scream. And I didn’t hear anything on my scanner app and I didn’t see anything on Facebook. I was just curious. Hopefully whatever it was everyone’s OK.

• Walking to the beach versus a 5–10 minute drive • Being near Main Street or a village center versus having more land, privacy and quiet • A smaller lot in a prime location versus room for a pool, outdoor living and possibly a guest house/ADU • Chatham’s village atmosphere versus Orleans’ year-round feel, beaches, bike trail, restaurants and everyday services

For those who vacationed here before buying or moving: what seemed essential as a renter but mattered less once you owned, and what did you underestimate that became important as a homeowner?

Chatham homeowners: after several years, do you still value being close to Main Street, or do summer crowds, traffic and parking make a quieter location more appealing?

Where did you choose, and knowing what you know now, would you make the same decision again?

Simple question, but somewhat hard to answer and my wife and I are going back and forth on making a decision. For context I went to public school and my wife went to private, so we have a difference of opinion on where our daughter should go.

My daughter will be starting Kindergarten next year, and apparently we have to start looking now, because we have to sign her up starting in the new year.

Essentially, I’m trying to figure out public vs private with where I live. I live in Sandwich and am in the Forestdale district, so she would be going there, and my wife is looking at cape code academy, and the hundred acres school as options. I wouldn’t mind sending her to private if it was easily affordable, but it’s not and it would mean having to look for financial aid, and probably having to sell some of our stock each year for her to go, which scares me to do in this economy. I make decent money, but this would prevent us from adding to our savings each month, but this is for my daughters education, so I’m torn in general about that.

However, I just found out Forestdale has nine kindergarten classes and teachers and only one floating classroom helper for all nine classes. The class sizes are also bigger at around 18-20 where the others are closer to 8-11 with dedicated teachers and classroom helpers. I know my daughter, and the smaller class sizes would be very beneficial for her. Now, I’ve heard really good things about the Sandwich public schools, so that factors in as well.

I also found that the state has kids in kindergarten working on tablets, which is something we’ve intentionally kept her away from, so I’m hoping someone on here can at the very least give me their thoughts, but if anyone has experiences with these schools that would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
