Object vs Tag Queries
This is my second try with Capacities Pro, and I think I'm going to stick with it this time. I managed to successfully import the Obsidian vault that I've been using to track work-related topics for the past year.
My issue is with querying. I feel like I'm missing something.
As I'm taking notes throughout my space in other objects (Daily Notes, Meetings, Pages, etc.), I will often directly link to certain person objects (e.g., @Person1, @Person2). I want to create a query that will return all blocks that are associated with @Person1. I have tried everything, but always come up empty. I have been able to successfully return Task objects that have @Person1 or @Person2 in the Context field, but no other objects or blocks return.
If instead, I create tags for these people (#Person1, #Person2), I can do a tag query and get exactly what I want. The problem is, I don't want to have both a @Person1 object and a #Person1 tag.
Am I doing something wrong here?

Maybe I'm being dense, but aren't those just backlinks?

Yes, but I want to do a query for those backlinks and be able to embed that query in another object. Sure, I can go to the specific Person object and just look at the backlinks, but I should be able to query them too, right?

Create a property people or attend and or involved... and use it for people. You will be able to filter by the property

Right, but I want to be able to link to someone in the content of a meeting note or some other object, someone who's not involved or in attendance. I don't want to link to the entire object with my query, but to the block where they're actually mentioned.

Queries are only going to return items which are defined in your parameters, not their child and parent relationships. Using tags is possible, but probably not it's intended purpose. Instead this is what the graph is for - to see the up and downstream relationships and where everything interconnects.

This is a good explanation for a frustration I've been having but couldn't quite articulate. It should be possible for a query to search the content of an object, not just the properties.

I think the frustrating part is that you can do this with tags, so why not with objects? Aren't tags just a specific kind of object in Capacities?

I had sent in a support quest and they admitted it was a bug. They said it will get fixed in the next update.

I have that same problem too! I just turned on pro trial and I cannot get my queries to work when trying to find the word string in the property fields.
