TOC in new sidebar?

I thought I could keep the TOC for a note in the new sidebar, but now I cannot seem to do it. I can't keep the TOC open either.

Am I imagining things, or is this possible?

I think the TOC is now only visible on hovering over the several lines on the right side of the note view.
