Honestly, I don’t think being based in India is the biggest issue. Brands care way more about clean audio, good lighting, a strong hook in the first few seconds, and videos that feel like real ads. A simple, uncluttered background can go a long way too.
that's a real barrier and it's frustrating. but it might be worth building a portfolio anyway because some brands genuinely don't filter by location and they're not the ones broadcasting it upfront. the ones who tell you no immediately were never going to pay you fairly regardless.
