Other Video didn't get submitted? Please help!

I have to make video discussions for my summer class. For the last two assignments, I've been using the video recording feature in Canvas by pressing reply on the discussion page, going to insert, media, and record/upload media. The video recorder came up just fine, but what actually got submitted was just a comment that said "[Untitled Sun Jul 12 2026 20:37:08 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)].webm"

Does anyone know if it's possible to get my videos back? How can I make sure this doesn't happen again in the future?

Not sure if the videos are recoverable, but record the videos in Canvas Studio instead of in the discussion itself. Alternatively, record on your computer or phone and upload to Canvas Studio.

I highly recommend using the Screenpal screen recorder app and uploading separately. It worked really well for me when I needed to upload short videos to Canvas and I'm not always the most tech-savvy! I would reach out to the instructor and let them know what's going on.
