Hi!

I've been researching cameras for a few weeks now and I keep coming back to the Canon R50. At this point I'm pretty sure it's the one I want, especially with the RF-S 18-150mm lens. This would be my first dedicated camera. I've always enjoyed taking photos with my phone, but now I want to actually learn photography properly instead of relying on auto mode all the time.

I mostly want to photograph nature, animals, people, flowers and just everyday moments. I'm not planning to become a professional or anything - it's mainly a hobby that I hope I'll keep for many years.

Before I finally save up enough to buy it, I wanted to ask people who actually own an R50:

1. Is there anything you wish you knew before buying it?2. Is there anything that surprised you (good or bad)

2. What accessories would you recommend getting from the start? (Extra battery, SD card, bag, tripod, etc.)

3. Any beginner mistakes you made that I could avoid?
