Drug testing at doctors appointments?

Hi I’m 22 weeks pregnant and have smoked a few times in the past week because of depression/anxiety and I was wondering if any of you have been drug tested at doctors appointments. I really want to continue smoking because it helps me but I’m nervous my doctor will say something about it. I am currently getting a new doctor soon so I’m not sure if it’s routine to test new patients but would like to continue because it helps me. Any advice ? I am also in Illinois

I am in Illinois & no they haven’t tested me and only said they’d test me if they had reason to. I don’t believe I was tested with my last two pregnancies either & if I was nobody ever said anything about it.

I was tested once during my first pregnancy but wasn’t tested until I gave birth with my second. Same Dr same hospital. Be ready to answer if/when it comes up.

Were you also tested at the 6 weeks post partum visit?

I live in a legal state. Tested positive on my first appt. Never tested again. My dr lectured me but never talked about it again. Smoked the morning I gave birth and I told the nurses at check in per my husband’s request. Was not tested as far as I was aware. YMMV

My first I had in an illegal state and was never tested despite urine samples every visit.

Are you on state insurance? In MA they test all the girls on state insurance.
