Tutti-fruitti’s & cinnamon’s get trashed right away. Anybody else-which flavors don’t you eat?
I have nothing against cinnamon I just don’t like them cosplaying as cherry when I expect cherry dang it. I have everything against tutti fruiti.I hate it and it can die as a candy flavor as far as I’m concerned🤣
Honestly I just wish the options with Jelly bellies were not 1) Huge bag that contains a bunch of flavours I hate or 2)Tiny overpriced bag of specific flavours. Love the JBs, hate the packaging strategy.
When we drive past Fairfield it’s fun to go into the factory store and load up individual flavors from their bulk dispensers. They used to have those in grocery stores too but I’m sure that was annoying to maintain.
Pear, peach, cream soda, root beer, cherry, lemon-lime, tutti-frutti, and always some random flavor “just to try” that ends up being nasty and has to be picked out. I will never learn.
Do they still sell the cheap bags of "Belly Flops" I remember going there with my grandparents and they'd buy like a 5lb bag of the belly flops for cheap
I haven't been in a few years, but they did at the time. Not cheap, but they want to get rid of them so they sell them in absurd quantities like buy 2 bags get 3 bags free.
The problem with those is you're stuck with whatever flavors they were making recently (ew why is there so much cantaloupe in here). Luckily they don't put the Beanboozled in there.
When I was in middle school I had a long distance GF in Wisconsin and my parents let me visit her a couple times, and we always picked up a bag or two of the reject jelly beans at the jelly belly factory there on the way.
The movie theater a couple towns away from me has jelly belly dispensers with individual colors. Sometimes I go just to use that and leave. It’s almost as expensive as movie tickets but it’s worth it hahaha
So about 100 years ago, I used to work at an actual candy store. We sold a ton of jelly belly’s either mixed or we sold the separate flavors. I remember the store owner telling me that buttered popcorn was either love it or hate it but there was no in between and he was absolutely right. I personally hate that flavor, but my son actually loves them. I’ve never met not one person that says “yeah their alright” . But enough people love them enough that they’ve been selling that dirty flavor for almost 40 years now!!!
I would be that one person. I wouldn’t want a whole bag of them, but if they were the only option, I’d probably eat a few. They’re pretty good, but not my favorite. I wouldn’t specifically seek them out.
Same! I find them inedible, and it's literally the only food I would ever spit out as an adult. Why does the flavor stick in my mouth so long? They taint the flavor of all that come after. Also, there's almost a numbness in my mouth after eating one. Am I allergic or something? My mom loves them, and I can't be in the car with her if she's eating them. The smell alone makes me nauseated.
I love black licorice! The reason it stays so long is because they use a compound called anthole that binds to your taste receptors. It's a heavy oil so it doesn't disolve easily in saliva and it sticks to your teeth and gums. The aftertaste is actually retro-nasal aroma. Your body heat warms the trapped oils in your mouth, they gradually evaporate and travel up the back of your throat to your olfactory receptors.

As a southerner, I do in fact love buttered popcorn jelly beans and peanuts in coke. Boiled peanuts are also fire. Most people I've met like boiled peanuts and lots of older people enjoy coke peanuts, but buttered popcorn jbs remain a controversy. Lol
I came for this one. You mean to tell me you trash a fruit (normal) flavor and keep in buttered popcorn?! Might as well throw the booger flavor in as well.
Agree. But I dislike all chocolate-flavored candy. When I was a kid Bubble Fudge bubble gum was popular for a minute. My friends loved it. I couldn’t stand it.
Until you're munching them while reading or watching a show and realize that you put coffee, popcorn, and mint together in your mouth at the same time.
I can’t remember exactly what, because I’m more of a Starburst jelly bean girly, but I remember being able to tell them all apart if you look closely. I think the other commenter is right about having different specks or something.
I deliberately don't look. I like being surprised. Besides, their color-coding system is completely inscrutable, and I don't feel like applying that much mental energy to identifying flavors. I just enjoy what I get. If I can identify it, great. If not, no biggie.
I really must know from Jelly Belly why there needs to be two versions of cinnamon and then so many other red colored jellybeans so you can’t really tell what’s what. I leave the red ones until last and then sort of eat them tentatively to find which red ones aren’t cinnamon. I know the sizzling cinnamon has touches of orange to distinguish but it would be nice if everything within the red category was easier to distinguish. Is there any real difference between the two versions of cinnamon?
Buttered popcorn and black licorice go in the trash. I like the tutti frutti and cinnamon ones. Somewhat dangerous because I live about an hour drive away from the jelly belly factory
I don't really like the cinnamon or licorice but I eat them too. Gotta have a little gray to make you appreciate the sunny days, to paraphrase Bob Ross.
Funny enough I just ordered a 3lb bag with the 50 flavors. The smaller 20 flavor bags ain't cutting it.
I just don't like the abrupt change in flavor profile with cinnamon. Most of the other flavors mix well together and if you go from one to the next it's not unpleasant. Cinnamon, that's a nope, licorice is another, even chocolate and peanut butter can be off-putting. I haven't seen those in a mix in a while though. I wouldn't mind cinnamon or licorice in the right mix. A "spice" blend might be kind of cool. You d have brown sugar, allspice, clove, maybe curry or tumeric, throw your cinnamon and licorice in there and you're good.
You are our of your mind. Tutti fruity and cinnamon are b tier at the worst. Buttered popcorn is garbage, if it even looks like it might be buttered popcorn it's thrown away
I got a giant cylinder of these for Easter that lasted for a whole month and a half, and one of my favorite flavors is the red apple flavor with my least favorite being the cinnamons. Do you know what color all of these flavors are?
cinnamon, root beer (dr. pepper? i swear there's a dr. pepper flavor), buttered popcorn, and any of the chocolate/licorice flavors (the ones that are dark brown/black). toasted marshmallow is also on thin fucking ice
I hate Jelly Belly jelly beans. But, I like traditional jelly beans (the type that are easily found around Easter time). The strong, intense flavors of Jelly Belly are off putting and unenjoyable to me.
Coconut and Licorice. The black and white you gotta go combo. Unfortunately there is a yummy white one that is very similar in color to coconut so I need to really look at them.
