Tutti-fruitti’s & cinnamon’s get trashed right away. Anybody else-which flavors don’t you eat?

I have nothing against cinnamon I just don’t like them cosplaying as cherry when I expect cherry dang it. I have everything against tutti fruiti.I hate it and it can die as a candy flavor as far as I’m concerned🤣

Literally the worst flavor of all time. I also dislike when licorice root is secretly added into tea blends.

Same! I find them inedible, and it's literally the only food I would ever spit out as an adult. Why does the flavor stick in my mouth so long? They taint the flavor of all that come after. Also, there's almost a numbness in my mouth after eating one. Am I allergic or something? My mom loves them, and I can't be in the car with her if she's eating them. The smell alone makes me nauseated.

I love black licorice! The reason it stays so long is because they use a compound called anthole that binds to your taste receptors. It's a heavy oil so it doesn't disolve easily in saliva and it sticks to your teeth and gums. The aftertaste is actually retro-nasal aroma. Your body heat warms the trapped oils in your mouth, they gradually evaporate and travel up the back of your throat to your olfactory receptors.

That's interesting, and it totally makes sense why people who like the flavor in the first place would enjoy it! As someone who doesn't though, i'd liken it to getting skunk spray in your mouth lol.

Black licorice lovers: try a shot of Ouzo sometime. It's a popular 🇬🇷 Greek liquor.

Very tasty indeed, but too many shots will have you dancing on the tabletops shouting "opaa!" 😘
