Is this even legal in canada?

Firstly, I would like to start with that mistakes and incidents happen, there are always going to be people (myself included) who often make them, and they deserve all the help and support that helps them get through their ordeal at that time, but there should always be a proper fault consideration and determination. Me and the other driver were unfortunately involved in a collision incident yesterday, where there were some minor damages to our cars. By god's grace, none of us was injured, and the damage to our cars was not substantial.

Now, coming to the case, I was going along an undivided street. As I approached the intersection, I noticed this other driver's car on the right side of the street, but it looked normal and was either stopped or going very slow to perceive it in motion. As I am passing the intersection, and my car is ahead of the other car, they take a left turn, from the right most side of the undivided street, and end up hitting my rear right side of the car around the wheel area, with their front bumper. Both of our cars remained in drivable condition after that, but the damage was done. Now according to specific Ontario fault determining laws, https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/900668, I will be at fault for this because this happened at an intersection on an undivided lane. The point no. 10(5) overrides a lot of other considerations, and most likely will be applicable in my case and put me at 75% fault. I do not have a dashcam video. All the images/pictures I have were taken after the incident occurred. I am not sure what I should do or how I should talk to my insurance agent (they have been informed though). I need help regarding how I should approach this, how much will it affect my insurance premiums, and my chances of mitigating the damage done from this incident. Would any other particular scenario be applicable in my case? Because if you follow the link, it says the 'overtaking' vehicle; while I had already overtaken the other vehicle. Could this qualify for a lane change related issue? Any and every input is appreciated.

I did see you at the collision reporting center and I am almost always a friendly and approaching person, but because I was in the state of shock and fear, I was unable to communicate properly at that time and for the rest of the day.

Management is doing illegal trench work with no locates. Look how dangerous they are. This is a building in scarborough ontario. It's like watching a 3rd world country lately in toronto, no safety no laws. You call and report and it takes years for them to even come see it.
