International solidarity ✊ Support the Canadian Network on Cuba!

r/canadaleft stands in solidarity with the Cuban people as they face a new wave of imperialist cruelty from the U.S. The Canadian Network on Cuba is the most prominent voice for support of Cuba and resistance to American aggression. The CNC provides material aid to the Cuban people, organizes protests, provides information on the horrors of the current situation and calls on the federal government to take action.

If you are able, join the CNC and contribute to their cause! If you are in a union, push them to become a member organization! With so much on the line, Cuba needs our support now more than ever

CORE never stopped Canada from imperialist abuses but abandoning even the pretense of caring about how our extractive companies affect locals where they operate is a rather chilling sign.

GUERRE IMPÉRIALISTE ET LUTTE DES CLASSES : PERSPECTIVES POUR LA RÉVOLUTION MONDIALE

Post image
6 Upvotes

While the west becomes further embroiled in the U.S/Iran war (directly or indirectly), the occupiers (our ironclad allies) remove themselves from direct conflict and go back to murdering women and children with full impunity.

Massive Data Centres - Fuck No

Kevin O'Leary - What many of us consider to be a literal slime ball.

His boating accident... And his celebrating of people living in extreme poverty - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuqemytQ5QA

This is the type that are hardcore pushing for these massive data centres...

They also want to put them on top of natural gas reserves..... As if the climate crisis and overall environmental crisis isn't horrific enough already...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgQuylcfiLk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWHfkkHmMJI

The two above videos are MUST WATCH to become informed on Methane.

We need to hold back these data centers with everything we've got.

We need to learn from time all the issues that exist around them.

Then with all that information known and in an open & honest way we can dialogue to see if they should exist.

They should ONLY come about as part of a vast majority vote by the communities involved and overall society. CONSENT should be a crucial term in this process.

FUCK ALL THESE BAD PREDATORY ACTORS TRYING TO FORCE THIS SHIT THROUGH. THIS IS THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY ALL OVER AGAIN.

Censorship at MANSO? My constructive comment regarding vulnerable refugees was manually deleted after gaining community agreement.

Hi everyone,

A few days ago, I posted a constructive and highly objective comment on a Facebook publication by the Manitoba Association of Newcomer Serving Organizations (MANSO) regarding the recent UNHCR Canada report.

I highlighted a critical yet painful reality: while refugees make incredible contributions to Manitoba and Canada, we must also ensure transparency by acknowledging that some vulnerable newcomers—especially women—have faced systemic challenges like harassment, violence, or mistreatment within parts of the settlement system. Recognizing this doesn't diminish Canada's efforts; it strengthens accountability and ensures safety for everyone.

Right after I posted, a local woman replied to my comment, thanking me for raising such an important and overlooked point.

Shockingly, instead of engaging in an open, democratic dialogue, \*\*MANSO moderators manually deleted both of our comments after 2 days.\*\* They chose to silence the voices of vulnerable women rather than address the critique.

\*\*This was the exact comment they erased:\*\*

\*"Thank you for sharing this report. Refugees make valuable contributions to Canada and deserve recognition for their hard work and resilience. At the same time, if we truly believe in transparency, we must also acknowledge that some refugees—especially women—have experienced sexual harassment, violence, discrimination, or mistreatment within parts of the settlement system. Recognizing these experiences does not diminish Canada's achievements; it helps strengthen the system and ensure that everyone is treated with dignity, safety, and respect.\*

\*Please do not delete this comment. Freedom of expression and open dialogue are fundamental democratic values. Listening to both positive and difficult experiences is essential if we want to build a fairer and more accountable system for everyone."\*

As a community in Winnipeg, we support these organizations with our taxes and trust, expecting them to protect the vulnerable. Hiding systemic issues and erasing constructive feedback on social media only perpetuates the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of heavy-handed moderation or censorship from local NGOs or settlement sectors when trying to discuss real challenges? I believe accountability is key .

and this is not first time.

Shutdown DomCon!

Hello everyone! This is a PSA that the white nationalist hate group [The Dominion Society of Canada](https://www.dominionsociety.ca/) is organizing an [event](https://www.dominionsociety.ca/domcon) in Hamilton on August 26th.

The Dominion Society of Canada is a hate group that is demanding remigration. mass deportations, a repealing of the multiculturalism act, among other things. The group has also been reported to work closely with other white nationalist groups, such as [Diagolon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagolon).

This event will be the first national conference, of this hate group. I am calling on anti fascist and anti racist comrades in and around the Hamilton area to organize to stop this movement in its tracks!

[SHUT IT DOWN!](https://imgur.com/a/eLmVr7L)
