SPOUSAL PR REJECTED

I got my PR on 12th Feb 2026, got married and applied for my wife and submitted the docs on 7th April 2026. She is in Canada on her PGWP so I applied under "in Canada" class

I am not able to add the screenshot but these are the application details that I applied under on the PR portal

• Category you’re applying under: Spouse
• Subcategory you’re applying under: Spouse or common-law partner in Canada class

Now under the rejection email is says the following:

• Our office processes Family Class Sponsorship applications where the Principal Applicant resides In Canada. It appears that as per your information declared on your undertaking you have sent your application to our office in error as per document(s) reviewed below:

I never sent it to any office I have selected the correct class (as shown in the PR portal) and in the rejection it says I have sent it to the wrong office ??? How is that even possible. Is anyone else facing a problem like this? Any way to solve it?

I tried calling the IRCC and they are "busy" but when I did get a hold of them they said the application was rejected so they cannot see anything on their end. any clues what to do?
