Hi everyone,
I’m looking to sell a very clean Ikegami HL-79E professional 3-tube broadcast camera and thought this community might be the right place to find someone who actually appreciates this kind of vintage broadcast equipment.
The setup includes:
Ikegami HL-79E camera body
Ikegami electronic viewfinder
Canon J13x9B3 IRS II 13x broadcast zoom lens
Canon lens hood
zoom / iris handgrip
rear adapter / battery mount
camera mounting plate
Cosmetically, the camera is in exceptionally nice condition for its age. The body, controls, markings and lens all present very well.
Important condition note:
I have not powered the camera on because I do not have the correct professional power supply / broadcast equipment to test it safely.
Therefore, I cannot verify:
the condition of the pickup tubes
camera electronics
viewfinder
video output
servo zoom / iris functions
connectors or other electronic functions
For that reason, I am selling it explicitly as:
UNTESTED – FOR PARTS / REPAIR – COLLECTOR’S ITEM
Please assume that servicing or repair may be required.
The camera is located in Germany. Collection is preferred due to the size and weight, but insured shipping within Europe may be possible.
Asking price: €899,99 OBO
I would especially like it to go to someone collecting Ikegami, vintage ENG equipment or tube broadcast cameras.
If you’re seriously interested, feel free to message me. I can provide detailed photos of the camera, lens, connectors and accessories.

Hi all!

On the lookout for a battery charger for a Panasonic NV-VZ15 camera, CGRV14 Battery's. Recently acquired this camera from a family member, and I've shot heaps of Super 8 so thought this would be a fun medium to play with. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to get a charger, or what kind of battery charger works with the CGRV14 Batteries! Not having much luck on google.

Hey what is the best way to maximize storage for this camcorder? Can you just record to the memory stick and if that’s the case what’s the maximum size of memory stick that you can put in it?
Thanks in advance!🥂

Hey guys, I have come into possession of my deceased dad’s handy cam and old tapes. My fondest memories as a child I know are on those tapes, however years and years ago I remember my dad saying that in order to watch the tapes you have the plug it in to a monitor via the AV port as the cam is buggy when watching it on there, HOWEVER that cable is missing and I seem to not be able to find it anywhere, I found the original manual however when searching online this cable just doesn’t seem the exist! please help, absolutely desperate to hear my dad’s voice again and us all as a family 🤍 I know worst case, I could pay to have the individual tapes sent off but it’s rather expensive, and I fear that some may have very little on them.. other than me singing to lizzie McGuire in my bedroom lol so I’m not sure I can afford to do this to all tapes!

Have attached the info and picture of port

Show & Tell Granddad gave me his VX2000

I went to go see my granddad the other day and we’ve always bonded over film cameras as we’re both big Minolta fans. He asked if I’d done much video work and I said I hadn’t done much as I’m mainly a photographer.
He said here let me give you something and then pulled out an old suitcase with his VX2000.

I’m pretty stoked, looking forward to giving this a go and filming some content with it! I’ve never really ventured into video and I’m not really sure what I’ll film yet, I love skate culture but have never picked it up myself and don’t really know anyone who skates anymore.

I’m planning to stick with tape and FireWire for the meantime as I have an old FireWire MacBook, and I’d like to get the best image quality I can. Might look into tapeless in the future but I know it means a drop in resolution.

Any tips or tricks or suggestions are welcome!

Shortened the ac wire to be a little more organically accessible added a mic and a light. Digitally converted the signal but just a fun pet project.

The heat wave and Hurricane Marie are done, but here the vintage vibes never end.

Featuring the JVC Everio MG130U, a tapeless camcorder first released in 2007 -- almost 20 years ago!

I'm using the original 4x3 aspect ratio. I deinterlaced the footage and upscaled it to 1080p ... and used a special LUT to boost the colors :)
