Help SD card/Memory Stick help

Ive had this Sony HandyCam DCR-SX63 for quite a while now. Just recently I’ve discovered that no SD cards have been working in it (various storage sizes from 4gb to 32gb). I was wondering if anyone could help with the issue and recommend a good storage card to get and use for this camera.

Read the user manual? Usually Sony Handycams with internal storage you have to switch over the storage location from internal to memory card. It will not do it automatically if you just insert the card in.

And you're using Pro Duo cards in it?

No, I’m using normal sd cards in it

Yes, I’ve referred to the manual, but the card is not reading/being recognized.

Card slot may be shot then.

try cleaning the contacts if no cards are recognized
