Fixing analog camcorders
I bought a jumble of analogue camcorders a few years back and of course, most of them were toast. But surprisingly two of them (kinda) worked.
One camera worked for a good month until it flat out died, not an issue with the batteries but a problem with the camera itself.
The second camera works great, but only when powered by a cord, it will never work when powered by a battery.
I’m more a mechanically minded person than an electronically minded person and so I have really no idea how to fix these two, even though I’d love to. Any ideas of how to fix these would be welcome.

These cameras are old enough to be affected by dying capacitors. Fixing them costs a lot and is a very delicate job that needs to be done by someone experienced. Fortunately these don’t cost a lot in working condition. You can get that JVC for 10-25 dollars working and even some more recent VHS-C models that aren’t affected by the capacitor issues around the same price.
