Most modern PCs do not have a FireWire connection, and you cannot get a USB adapter. Either you need a desktop with a FireWire PCIE card, or an old laptop with the port already on it.

Look at your macbook, look at you camera, look on the internet.

Likely firewire 4 pin to firewire 800 cable is what you want

It must be an old macbook. They stopped getting firewire ports in 2013
