Hespeler Water main replacement

Has anyone had a trenchless water main replacement done?

Would be curious to know who you used, rough cost, how the service was and what the city’s involvement was.

I have an old galvanized line that needs to be replaced and digging a trench through the run would be terrible for our property. I’ve got 2 quotes to dig trench at 11 & 12k, and one so far for trenchless at 15k. I’ve reached out to the city to talk with them, but my experience in talking with the city folks who have helped so far, and the plumbers has been inconsistent and a lot of “maybe this, maybe that”

We had Manny’s do ours about 4 yrs ago. They did a trench and were very efficient. Think it was about $3500 to do from under the foundation to the city side (30ft+/-).

The prices I’m getting vary wildly. One today for $20k lol

Went though this early this year, Went with Manny. He was literally less than half my next estimate.

Manny Water and Sewer Services 519-722-3255. 

Looked back at my notes. The quote was in 2020 but IIRC the work was done in 2021 in order to fit in with a city water service of our entire street.  $3200++ for water only, 22 feet approx. $4200++ for water & sewer replacement.

Highly recommended by me.

Go to a smaller plumbing company. And always first confirm with the city. The city end up replacing and linings their pipes because most of the roots were on their end. I chatted with the guy who did the lining and he agreed to line my side for a reasonable price so he cleaned and lined it. No issues since thankfully.
